as with most of dl's colors, don't tell mama is very interesting. be aware though - indoors this color really looks almost black; in bright or daylight you can see the beautiful teal shimmer. goes on easily, stays on & comes off without problems.

Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Don't Tell Mama, .5 fl oz:
This is a lovely color, but it is MUCH darker than it appears online. I currently have it on my toenails, and it looks black in indoor light. In the bright outdoor sun, however, you can see the shimmery greenish tone. This is like the mood ring color of black, actually--not green or blue. Since I also have Lippmann's Vinyl color, I didn't really need this one. However, I will use it for dramatic effect when I know the lighting will be right.
Pros
- Dries Quickly

Cons
Best Uses
- Special Occasions
Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Don't Tell Mama, .5 fl oz:
The polish appears much darker than shown in the photo. It is mostly a black base with sparkly, deep green. I wouldn't call it the color of a mood ring. At least my mood ring never looked like that! Certainly striking if you are going to be in a situation where your hands will be in full view. Get a shiny topcoat for it and it will look great.
