I love the texture and staying power of this lipstick. It's not easy to find a long lasting lipstick that is also moisturizing. And, while it's a nice red, I don't think it changed at all to match my skin tones, and certainly can't say, like some other reviewers, that it's the best shade of red that I've ever worn.

I'm 56 and had pretty much given up on ever being able to wear a red lipstick again. Once you get that annoying feathering around your mouth, every lipstick no matter the color ends up running into those wrinkles. Red is the worst because it's so obvious that you end up looking cartoonish. That being said, Duwop's Private Red is AMAZING!! I ordered their trio set expecting to have to blend the red with the nude. Gave the Private Red a try on it's own. It stays PUT. I put on the Private Red by itself, went out to run errands on two separate occasions and each time, I was told by people that see me regularly how great I looked those days. Had to be the Private Red because that was the only thing new. Ladies over 50: pick up the trio set and give Private Red a try. If it's not to your liking, you still have the option to blend one of the other two colors with it, but I don't think you'll want to!

I have worn DuWop lipstick for years, and my favorite now discontinued color was Larkspur. I am 50s, fair/grey, and this is a lovely product. It is a natural red, so when people look at you they see your eyes first and not a neon red clown mouth. Like the other DuWop lipsticks, this one lasts a long time and goes on great. It is worth every penny. I had my daughter with procelain skin try it (imagine natural white blond hair with VERY pale skin). The lipstick started out the color of the tube product, and morphed into a lovely natural reddish pink that made her look put together, not made up. On older skin (like mine..sigh) it turned a bit darker red but not so dark as to be distracting. The color on me is more of a brown-pink red, and is very flattering. The product is definitely a keeper, and is a great value for price since you apply in AM and still can see it on at 5PM.

This is a very nice red. When I first put it on it was a little messy because it glides on so easily, but when i adjusted my technique it turned out great. It feels really good and moisurizing when you put it on and its a classic red color. I have very fair skin and I like this red on me, so I would imagine that it would look even better on tan to dark skin. and if you want just a touch of color you can put on a coat and then blot it off and it will give your lips a hint of the color. [...] Overall this is just a great glam red lipstick and I definately recomend it. ,

It's a color that can be played up or down. If you don't usually wear red, you can use more lip balm with it. It's a different look for me. I like it best with minimal eye-makeup.

I like bright, darkish reds, but generally can't find one that's quitre tame enough for work. This one was. With a nice blot it was definitely perfect. It dropped out of my purse the other day and I'm mad. Trying to find budget room to replace it.

I had always hesitated to use red lipstick, fearing that it would be the wrong color and/or look harsh. I was most pleasantly surprised to see that it is a beautiful color. I have been using Duwop lip color for a long time and decided to try red based on my experience with other colors and the idea that this lipstick would adapt to my skintone. I guess it really does because it looks great. Thanks Duwop!

Finally a red lipstick that I actually like how it looks on me! I have wasted a lot of money over the years on various shades of red lipstick. Even when I tried it on in the store, the color changed on me after wearing it for a few hours, faded unevenly, or I didn't like the feel of the lipstick on my lips after wearing it for more than a few minutes.

With this red, I love the color and it is moisturizing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I do have to touch up a bit more frequently than some other lipsticks. But I can live with that since I finally found a good red for me!

This is a very nice lipstick that could be used as a stain. The only thing wrong with this lipstick and my reasoning for only 3 stars is that for me the red it became is not one that I like so I am using this lipstick as base color, I will apply it with a lip brush then blot with a tissue and apply another color over - this provides me with a nicely long-lasting and colorful mouth. Using this lipstick as a base, I have gone morning thru dinner and only needed a quick touch up after meals..
