Once the lips have been defined with appropriate lip liner, use the Lip Brush to apply lipstick to the lip. Using the Lip Brush will provide control and aid in blending. Applying the lipstick directly from the tube will allow a richer application of color. For more of a matte finish and to remove excess product, place tissue over the lips and gently smooth finger over the lips. For Extra Long Lasting Color: Define and fill in entire lip with lip liner. Apply lip color directly from tube. Using only a single ply of tissue place tissue over the lips. Using a powder puff or sponge, pat loose powder over the lips to set. Reapply lipstick. Full Looking Lips: Add Lip Gloss or Lip Lacquer just in the center of the bottom lip and at the bow of the top lip. |

Nars Fast Ride Sheer is absolutely gorgeous! I'm always on the lookout for the perfect sheer plum, and this is it! Well worth the cost, the high point is the perfect sheer mullberry/ plum color. Yes, it's a deep tone, but it's wearable for day and night because it's sheer. I have medium deep skin, and my natural lip color is a medium plum-brown so this makes my lips just a few shades deeper and glossy. The color doesn't seem to last super long (I'll need to reapply), but it does leave a faint tint on the lips. Another con is that it's not that moisturizing, but this doesn't bother me because the color is so beautiful, and it glides on so smoothly. I do love this product and highly recommend it.

This color is universally flattering- I've got fair skin and freckles, and the color looks like it was made for me. My friend has light olive skin and it looks just as great on her. The color in the tube is misleading- it looks much darker then it actually wears. It's a natural look with a little bit of a 'vavoom' kick. I only wear this color now- my other lipsticks are all tossed into an old bag for my kid to play with. This color is phenomenal, it goes on silky smooth and feels great on your lips. I can't recommend this color enough!

It is my first Nars lipstick, not the best, I don't know why doesn't cover even, I use 2 or 3 coats and blot in a tissue to make it last and correct the issue. Is a very nice color.

Don't let this color scare you off...in the tube, it looks almost black, but I believe it's one of the sheers...on my medium pigmented lips, it turns into a sheer wine/cranberry color. It does not scream lipstick, and basically takes your lips up a few notches from natural. It is not a goth or overly dark color on, and it can be blotted to be even sheerer, or applied thickier for more drama or nighttime use. I found it to be a nice color, not "too" anything...just a little more color than I'm used to wearing. It goes on smooth with a nice sheen, and wears well. It also leaves a bit of a stain behind which is also good. I would describe it between a plum and dark pink...oh heck...just go try it on! I probably would not have purchased it based on how it looks in pics and in the tube. It might work for you!
