The Bare Minerals line's packaging is notorious for being messy and bad for travel. I was hesitant about this compact, especially since dimensions were not given (for the record: 4"w x 2 5/8" d x 1"h). Overall, I like it. The Compact Buki brush (which is like a flattened Baby Buki) gives pretty good coverage, despite it's small size. Any new brush takes some time to get used to, but this one is soft and very user-friendly. I really like that the powder (I choice to put Mineral Veil in) has two barriers to get through before it would leak. The powder sits inside a reservoir similar to a regular pot of Bare Minerals. On top of the sifter is another sifter that twists to let powder through or to block the holes. On top of that is a hinged black cap that securely snaps shut, then the whole compact can shut. Filling the reservoir is messy, but it's worth it to have Mineral Veil on hand. I do wish that this were not a rectangular shape, rounded edges would be nicer. I also wish they came in colors; it would make it easier to find it digging in my handbag. If this were lost of broken, I would buy this again and I would recommend it to Bare Minerals users or anyone who likes loose powders.

This is a 50 cent piece of hard plastic for [$]. It is impossible to fill with product and impossible to use. The case is so big and bulky it doesn't even fit into my little evening bag or my make up bag. It is the worst.

I like being able to carry my bareminerals for touchups, however, the compact is supposed to keep the makeup in tact when you twist to close the holes. It does not stayed closed in your purse, necessarily, and so it defeats the purpose of the compact and taking the mineral makeup with you.
