I love John Masters skin care, but have had a harder time with his hair care products. I have long, wavy hair in layers that tends to get heavy as well as dry at the ends. I have a silicon based product that makes my hair nice and shiny, but I was concerned about the ingredients and tried this. Based on other reviews, I was working a bit onto my ends when my hair was damp. This didn't work for my long hair…made it heavy. I recently tried putting scrunching it into my hair when dry. It is a perfect refresher! It is still not the same as a shine product, but I am very happy with it as a styling product for long hair. It takes just a dab…the jar is going to last a very long time.

Love it. I have wavy hair. It dries fairly straight if I pull it into a ponytail while it is wet, which I do when I am in a big rush. I use this if I am going out later after my hair is dry. I just take my hair out of the ponytail, scrunch some of this into it, turn it upside down and fluff it up with my fingers, and viola! Waves are back. Hair is soft and shiny. Couldn't be easier.

When I first tried this product I put it in my damp hair and then basically let it air dry. My hair turned out heavy and listless. But then, on my stylist's recommendation, I used this product in conjunction with blow drying. Therein lies the secret: It works perfectly in combination with the blow dryer. I just don't blowdry my hair all the way to be completely dry. It does seem to make my strands become thicker and shinier. And, it smooths the frizzed/damaged/split ends.

This product gives my hair incredible shine, but unlike traditional hair products, does not weigh my hair down, even in humid Singapore. It won't moisturise intensively or defrizz if that's what you're looking for, but works well for fine hair with oily tendencies. A pea-sized amount is all you need. And strange as it sounds, I swear that my hair shaft is getting healthier and thicker after use of this product. I love it!

This stuff is the perfect weight for my fine hair. It's not too slick like the silicone based products I've tried before. I can blow my hair out straight or coax my waves into curls, and it looks and feels great.
