I used a less expensive mineral brand and noticed the look was uneven and not very flattering on mature skin. Have switched back to Bare Minerals and it is definitely worth the extra cost. It leaves my skin with a soft glow and brightens up my complexion. Really like the healthy "young" look it gives me. Since I am very fair, I brush on "True" where I would normally have a touch of color from the sun.

The "True" color is great for adding a healthy glow. I've had people comment on how rested and healthy I look when I'm wearing it. Don't be put off by the shimmer - the mineral veil minimizes it very well.

True is a beautiful color, similar to Nars O and TheBalm Hot Mama (golden peachy-pinky-coral), but this is definitely not blush. True is a very fine powder, which looks frighteningly glittery. Luckily, it's much more matte on my skin. Actually, the glitter is pretty subtle; there's more of a "glow". I wear True with Bare Minerals Matte foundation, and I usually use Tinted Mineral Veil as a finishing powder. Both help to stifle the glitter. True is great for adding pizzaz over Warmth, or for lightly dusting all over for an evening look. I love it best on my eyelids. It provides a lovely, sheer, natural-looking color that enhances my green eyes. This is also very nice mixed with Tropical Radiance, especially on my eyelids. True could never, ever be a blush on my medium skin, but I hadn't expected it to be. It's not color-corrective, and I'm not always comfortable with "glow" (I'm usually trying to absorb oil on my face), but I honestly think True looks so pretty when I'm wearing it. I'd probably repurchase, eventually, but I think I'll have this large container for years; like all the Bare Minerals a teeny little bit goes such a long way.

I bought this as a blush type thing and will be returning it because it is very sparkly and doesn`t leave much color- it`s extremely sheer. However, if I was looking for a shimmering highlighter- and I now realize that that is what this is meant to be- I would have been very satisfied. Just so you know, this leaves more of a sparkle than a glow.
