I really enjoy the scent of lavender, but because I grow it, and I use lavender scented cleaning products and laundry products I'm usually surrounded by the scent so much that I never think of looking for it in a perfume. I found this scent when I started using Lavanila's natural deodorants. The Vanilla Lavender was so perfect that I decided I needed to try the spray fragrance. You know it has to be pretty if I decided this based on a product I use in my armpits! Vanilla Lavender is sweet, clean, very feminine, and uplifting. It's perfect for spring and summer or any time, really. I've never had anyone complain about being allergic or sensitive to this fragrance, but I get many nice compliments. To me this is what I can imagine a blend of Pure Grace and Falling in Love might smell like, (which is a high compliment!)

The scent is clean without that nose prickling sharpness that I cannot bear. There is a gentle sweetness in the dry down (from the violet leaf? though feels more like the violet flower in the slight sweetness) The vanilla is so well blended that you will not feel like a walking cupcake - it just smooths everything out. There is no medicinal feel to the lavender. Each part of this fragrance blends into the other so seamlessly that it is difficult to see where one note ends and the other begins. The scent is best described as resembling the freshness from a baby product - specifically J&J Lavender Powder comes to mind...or the freshness from baby shampoo. This will open with a crisp Lavender that quickly blends into the gentle sweet of the violet/vanilla with a slight (very slight) baby powder in the dry down. It is light but does stay on the body for most of the day. It won't hit anyone over the head but swirl gently around you. Great for any time of day or year. Oh, and it is GOOD for you (has vitamins etc. in it). You owe it to yourself to try them all - and this set is the perfect way! PLEASE bring Vanilla Lavender in the full sized Roller Ball! PLEASE!

This is my signature fragrance from Spring thru to end of Summer. I never tire of it! I have relatively few choices as I won't use anything other than pure essential oils or all-natural perfumes but after I found the Lavender version of La Vanila (I already use the Grapefruit/Vanilla in the fall/winter) my search was over. This is the freshest, cleanest fragrance I have ever encountered.

Well, I sprayed this on my forearms at the well-known store known as "S" while shopping around to smell the new scents. At first, I didn't smell anything, maybe because I have a light vanilla lotion on. Then, when after five minutes walking around the store I smell a whiff of lavender, just slight, mind you and then interestingly, Laundry detergent or something like a dryer sheet smell. All about 1 hour later, all I smell is clean, laundry detergent. No vanilla. if there is vanilla, its too weak. Then it disappears. Gee, for this price, I want my scent to last, Also, that first impression of lavender? It smells like a men's cologne, so this could be a unisex scent. Sorry, LAVANILLA, not for me.
