I've been using this product for years, as the packaging and product has changed slightly I kept up. I wondered if I had just become immune to this smell that other reviewers kept mentioning so I went to the bathroom for a sniff - no, nothing even vaguely offensive; just a light rose petal fragrance.
I have very dry skin and this finishing cream does a great job keeping me moisturised all day. If anything it could be a thicker cream but that's just a personal preference.
I'd say that if you are thinking of buying this, go ahead and judge the scent for yourself - we're all so different! As for the active ingredients, you will see anti-aging results!

This smells so awful that I ended up using it on my feet, covering quickly with socks, so I wouldn't have to have it near my face. If you don't want your face smelling like dipilatories, cat pee, and detergent/ammonia, pass on this product. It does a fine job of moisturizing, but so what. With the smell, who cares? I also object to the wasteful packaging. I got a deluxe sample of this, and the product only amounted to 1/4 of the space the container occupies in the medicine cabinet. Waste of plastic, but I guess it keeps the scent contained. If a product is going to have a strong smell, at least it should be a pleasant smell. It also made my face itch and get bumpy. No thanks!

I use Perricone's "Concentrated Restorative Treatment" at night and I LOVE it. I bought the Face Finishing Moisturizer for day use. The first application was wonderful. The rose oil smells lovely and it left my skin feeling supple. The next few applications were different. The scent changed and I noticed my skin started to flake. I also started to break out, which was strange since my skin felt very dry. I have sensitive skin and it tends to be more on the oily side of combination skin. I returned this product and was recommended Perricone's (oil free) Skin Clear Hydrator instead. The rose oil was likely the culprit in my breaking out.

I've been using this product since September 2010 and love, love, love it! I use this every morning as my final step in my skin care routine right before I apply my makeup. I have combination skin but like a thicker moisturizer. Face Finishing Moisturizer is thick and creamy which is what my skin likes but without all the oily, heavy ingredients that my skin doesn't need. My skin feels so soft and has a dewy look that is very pretty. After I apply this, I almost don't want to put on my makeup; I love the way my skin looks! I highly recommend Face Finishing Moisturizer if you are looking for an everyday moisturizer that evens out skin tone, minimizes wrinkles and lines, and gives you a healthy "glow".

This product is absolutely wonderful. I have using it for years. The smell is awesome. However, if you use beyond the expiration date, the smell begins to changes to not so great. Therefore, make sure you check the expiration date. It should be at least 9 months before it expires.

I think they may have reformulated this. I have used other brands that took out inorganic ingredients and ended up smelling awful (this happened with my Nuxe moisturizer), but this one smells like roses. I would bet they changed the scent because I've never had one that smelled bad. It's got all the vitamins that the derms recommend, DMAE, Vitamin C Ester etc. It never makes me break out or feel greasy.

I bought this product on a whim with a store credit and now am on my second jar. I use it am and pm, but mostly am for a smooth, dewy finish, before adding blush. I have combination oily skin and it really soothes any irritation and never makes me break out. It smells like rose petals to me, but I can see how others would interpret it differently. I find the predominant rose scent to be pleasant. I really can't think of anything I don't like about this product except for the price. I will continue to use as I have and recommend to friends - a great product@
