Dip brush into loose or pressed powder and lightly tap off excess. The bristles are too soft and long, do not pick up color and I look like I have nothing on my cheeks after running the brush back and forth in the compact many times. I bought the ECO tools blush brush first whch was 20.00 cheaper and it was just as bad. I am currently using a brush by lumene, wish I could find that replacement because it is so much better than the [$] I just wasted on the two brushes mentioned above.
