My experience with the product was awful and thankfully short! It was simple enough to apply, but for days after I stank! Even my bath water 3 days after I applied it smelled horrid. My sheets were left marked and also retained that terrible odor. I wanted to feel sexy with a glowing tan and I was left so putrid I didn't want to go near anyone! Even the dog stopped sleeping in my bed! Lol

If the smell was not bad enough, the acne that ensued was. I never break out on my body and I had spots on my back, bum, and upper thighs. My face also broke out which had been clear previously and unmarred by this product. My only thought is it so thoroughly clogged my pores the toxins had to escape somewhere.

Even without these issues I would never use this product. The tan looked cheap with an orange color and sparkles that fortunately go away after a day or so. When the color fades it does so in patches and also peels off in dirty bits after a shower. I hate returning items as I think it drives up costs and also harms the environment further, but this got shipped back to the trash where it belongs.

This tanner goes on without streaking, and does not deeply stain knees, heels, and elbows. Does not dry out skin. It tans gently, and if a deep tan is wanted, many coats will be required. The shimmer is subtle, but really makes your skin appear healthy and even toned.

This is a very nice self tanner. You get an instant bronze after applying it. The shimmer is barely noticeable, which is a good thing. The tan is very natural. It smells like minty mouthwash...not so bad. But, my natural scent doesn't mesh well with the minty scent. So, I try to only put this on my upper body when I know I won't be out and about. I use mainly on my legs. The bronzing part of this does rub off on clothing and furniture, so be careful! All in all, it's a good self tanner.

I used an exfoliant first before applying the tanner. It went on fine and the color was ok. I purchased this tanner due to other reviews that said it didn't have the "normal" not-so-pleasant tanner smell. But it did! Very disappointed.

Love the creamy gel texture. It feels like silk going on. When you first apply, you think it will be hard to get on evenly, but then it rubs right in. There is a fair amount of color guide that will come off on your clothes before you shower. The color is lovely, less golden and more brown, but I wish it was a little darker. It also isn't as expensive as some of the other brands. I have never had any streaks with this, and even goes on evenly on tough spots like feet. It is my new go-to tanner.

I have been an avid fan of Jergen's Natural Glow for quite a while because the price is great, and the color is also! However, it seems like I had reached my limit of how dark I could get with Jergen's, so I was on the hunt for something else! I am uber white ( I'm talking "Casper" the Ghost here ) LOL! I wanted a darker glow for the summer months and I read the reviews of almost all tanners. The Origins Great Pretender had rave reviews no matter where I read it from, so I decided on that one! Normally, I would not spend [$] on tanner.I decided to splurge based on the positive reviews, and boy am I glad I did!!This tanner is amazing!! It goes on so smooth, there is no way you can get streaks! The color is sensational ( a beautiful brown color; NEVER orange!)It is kind of thin, so you have to be careful not to get it on carpet, etc., but that's one of the best things about it though because it dries FAST! It is tinted, so you can see where it goes and it has a nice "minty" smell! The best part is that I only applied this once weekly and it stays put for like 5 days!! It gradually fades just like a real tan with none of that alligator looking skin some tanners have when fading! I will recommend this tanner to everyone in full confidence that you will love it! Thank you Origins for such a remarkable product! I am a forever customer!!!

I just don't think I have the patience for stinky self-tanners. This product was so smelly going on. Even once it was absorbed into my skin, I still smelled like that awful odor whenever I was sweating. In the week after, I turned the water orange whenever I shaved anywhere I had tanned. The application itself was a sticky, tacky, mess. I threw the product in the garbage.

Other tanners have a strong oder, but this has none! I have fair skin and the color goes on evenly and looks natural. Be sure to exfoliate and moisturize before applying to ensure best application.

I cannot comment on long term use of this product as I typically reserve it for special occassions but I absolutely love it! It is even, smells nice, and does its job so well. I did not check the box for natural tan as a pro but I also did not list it as a con either b/c it is meant to have a shimmer, which of course is not natural, but I like the subtle shimmer and it is exactly what I was after. I highly recommend this if you are looking for some added color and glam!
