I typically only wear mineral cosmetics, to include eye make up, so this product has no trouble taking them off. On the rare occasion I have used it to remove "regular" mascara it has done a good job of that too. This is more gentle than any cleanser I have ever used (and I've used a lot of them), and it pretty much eliminated the role of a toner. I have normal to dry skin, which can sometimes get a little flaky in areas- I have had no flaking since I've been using this so I know my skin is retaining more moisture. Also, I brought it with me on vacation last week (which was very space saving!) and used it over skin that was mildly sunburned, it didn't hurt and the skin didn't peel!!! Awesome, I will always use this!

i didn't care for this product. I tried it for makeup removal and then just for bare face exfoliating. Not really impressed. It did rinse out very easily and air dried quickly. But because i had to rub a lot my skin dried out. I have very sensitive skin though so maybe it just wasn't for me.

Mitt does tend to stain easily. Doesn't affect performance just looks dingy. I do clean it with hand soap after each use as recommended. Face feels clean and refreshed. I highly recommend.

One of my least favorite activities is nightly makeup removal, and this makes it a joy! I have been using this mitt for years now, and I'm so thankful for it. After using it I apply moisturizer and I'm all set.

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
I bought this a month ago and have used it everyday. I love it! It cleans every single bit of make-up off my face while leaving my skin soft and supple, not greasy like most make-up removers, or tight like soap. And the fact that I put the soap on the cloth (after cleaning my face) and all the make-up washes off it quickly. leaving it ready for my face again, still amazes me. I bought 10 of these to give to my sisters and good friends as their special girlie gift for this year!

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, and now it's for sure--it works. I have used no soap at all since I started using this mitt. My skin is sensitive, breakout-prone, and aging (lucky me) and since using this I've been really happy with my skin. I haven't broken out at all and my skin feels very clean with no dryness. It removes makeup very well and is easy to clean. I imagine this is going to save me a lot of money on cleansers.

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
I bought this on the recommendations of OTHER reviewers, and am I glad I did! It DOES take off all of my eye makeup (and I use a fair amount of eye makeup). This little mitt is especially useful when I wait too long, before going to bed, to remove my makeup. Sometimes, in the past, I 've just gone to bed with makeup on rather than go through the hassle of removing it! Now I can just wet the mitt and remove my makeup in about a minute. Love it. I rarely write reviews but I think it is important to help others who are thinking about buying this great little item.

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
I do use this with cleanser. I have acne prone skin, so I didn't want to take a chance on not getting my skin clean by using the mitt without cleanser as it is intended. Now I use much less cleanser and my skin gets very clean without the irritation sponges or wash cloths can cause.

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
I've had mine for a little over a week and have used it every day since receiving it. Overall I like this product a lot and recommend it. However, to get all of my waterproof mascara off, I have to rub a bit harder than I like to rub my eye area. Other than that, it works just as advertised and it comes clean with hand soap and water. I don't wring it out, just a gentle squeeze then hang it on a hook in the shower. It's always dry and fresh smelling when I need to use it again the next evening. I think this will save me some money on makeup removing cleansers and be better for my skin and Mother Earth too.

Comments about Jane Iredale Magic Mitt, 1 ea:
Most cleansers are too harsh for me, or contain aromatics that can irritate my sensitive skin. Additionally, the water here in LA contains a lot of chlorine, which adds to whatever the cleanser is doing. The simplicity of using this mitt, with just a teeny bit of water to cleanse my face thorougly is absolutely a godsend! If you wear a lot of makeup, removing it is probably a better idea, but for my light foundation and powder, plus shadow and liner, there is no problem removing it at all. Be gentle, there is no need to scrub yourself raw, it is a different kind of cleansing, but if you test it with a toner afterwards to see if anything has been left behind, you'll be delighted!
