I was hoping for a very subtle nude look, but it is actually shimmery, which doesn't work on women of a certain age and also isn't great on anyone during the day.

This shadow set is perfect for those that are looking for matte shadows. Some of us more "mature" types have issues with too much shimmer accentuating fine lines. This palette offers options for so many different looks and does a great job of transitioning from day to night colors in shades that suit everyone.
I read the first review and was a bit surprised. I always use an eye primer and had no problem with this product fading, smudging, creasing or not lasting.

Great everyday colors. The dark charcoal shade even makes it handy when it comes to night time usage. EWG gave this product a low hazard score of 3, so it's pretty safe. I'm happy with her products and will buy more!

This product is great, it isn't shimmery which tends to accentuate wrinkles. They are very natural, blendable colors which look great day or night! I love Jane Iredale face powders and am so glad I tried the eyeshadows.

For me, these colors are perfect! They blend well with my skin tone and with each other so you don't see where one leaves off and another begins, making for a beautiful look that appears totally natural. They really make my blue eyes blue! The dark brown is perfection for my brows and as an undereye liner and the black is a great lid liner. The beauty of it is it's all in one compact so I don't have to carry multiple items just for my eyes - one compact and a tube of mascara and I'm good to go. I bought a second one so I could have one in my purse and one on my dressing table. It lasts so long the only time I need a touchup is if I'm going for a more dramatic evening look. Then I can use the dark brown in the crease and at the outer corner of the lid. I love quick and easy when it comes to makeup, but I won't sacrifice quality. This does it all and is natural so it doesn't make my eyes sting or water - it just stays on all day and looks fabulous!
