OK, this is MY experience with Butter LONDON 3 Free in Yummy Mummy. First off, the color...is quite unique to say the least. It really changes with lighting, time of day and length of wear. The best way I can think to describe it is as a grey/taupe/mauve/lilac combo, (but not always at the same time). Basically it's a chameleon, which I--as someone who tires of the same-old-thing easily--think is pretty rad. I have very pale, cool toned skin, and I think the color looks good at all times. My fiance loves it as well (and he is much less trendy and more discerning than myself). The nail polish formula itself is fantastic!! It certainly feels free of chemicals, and used along with my trusty, Sticky base coat, it has stayed put for weeks at a time (much longer lasting than OPI or Essie). Lastly, I read a few other reviewers found the square top uncomfortable and difficult to use. But when I received my bottle, I noticed the instructions tell you to lift the square top off, and sure enough, underneath it is a more traditional round top. So I had no problems with the application what-so-ever.

I thought this would be a great everyday color and it definitely is not a great color for pale skin tones.... maybe if you have darker or olive skin tones? I am glad I tried it because I would be willing to try other colors in this brand it was easy to use and stays on (so far), but not really happy with the color.
It looks a lot more pink in the picture than it is - it is really brown/grey.

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, Yummy Mummy, .4 oz:
This is the first butter LONDON polish I have purchased and I have to say I fell victim to the hype...both about the line and about this color in particular. I have read reviews and the brand touting this as a universally flattering shade. I did not find it to be flattering on me at all! I read it described it as BBB (band-aid but better) and I guess that's accurate...I just don't want to walk around all day looking like I have band-aids on my nails! Maybe some people are into that. :) I have light olive toned skin with yellow undertones. I imagine this would be more flattering on someone who is fairer with rosier skin.
On the plus side, I did find it easy to apply, it dried quickly, and has a nice finish even before top coat. I think I will try other shades from this line...maybe when they're on sale.

I never write reviews but I had to hop on here and write a review for this polish. Just the best neutral ever, truly. I love to wear polish on my fingernails but it has to be a neutral. I've tried a zillion neutral tones as my giant box o'polish will show but couldn't find the right one. They were all to pink, to peach, to grey, to brown, etc. etc. etc. This is a great color and I think it would work on about any skin tone. And the polish formula is just awesome. Dries fast, good coverage and it lasts. I really love this one!

I got this polish free when I purchased other things and got a mani/pedi from the Butter London salon at the Seattle airport. This is a great color which can mix with a lot of different looks. Butter London products are really amazing. I love the nail oil and the cuticle remover, too.

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, Yummy Mummy, .4 oz:
I read the mixed reviews of this color, and I really wasn't sure what to expect from it. When I first put it on, it seemed like a strange color, a bit like lilac cement or something. As the week wore on, it truly became one of my new favorites. It's not really grey, like some have described it. I can see how it might seem grey, and even I likened it to cement, but that's sort of misleading. It's more of a lavender beige color and I think it would be flattering for all skin tones. It's a more interesting neutral and I think it works best on short, clean nails rather than long.

- Dries Quickly
- Easy To Use
- Fall color
- Goes On Smoothly
- Good neutral
- Long Lasting

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, Yummy Mummy, .4 oz:
I thought this product was more than I would usually spend on a nail polish, but I was taken in by the design, origin, and shade. I am very pleased with the application and wear of this polish over the last week. And the shade is something I wouldn't ordinarily try, but I liked the idea of a gray tone over a pale pink as a color to transition into fall. I'll keep coming back to this polish.
