I needed an extra shiny black to wear with all the dressy black clothes I wear to parties during the Holiday Season. This is the first time I have ever worn a black on my nails. It looked nothing short of extra classy with dressy black clothes. I love the gloss of this laquer, they said it would be shiny. I felt the high gloss kept the "Gothic" look at bay because I'm just too old for it, and vampires have never been my thing. I did wear this over acrylic nails, so it lasted extra long, so I can't speak to it's staying power on a natural nail.

I would never recommend Butter "glitter" nail polish...it chips the same day of application and continues to chip and peel each day after...it is like cement to remove...must use acetone remover which defeats the "non-toxic" philosophy!
