I'm astonished at the previous review. The length and stiffness of the bristles make this brush perfect for Smashbox's creme eyeliner. I also use the creme eyeliner as a brow color, and this makes perfect hair-shaped marks, so I don't look like I have a solid brown brow. Stipple instead of dragging the brush (for liner or brow) and you will have a good effect with it.I'm getting another one of these because I just discovered Trish McEvoy's "Finish Line," a sealant which turns any eyeshadow into a vibrant, moist liner. My old Smashbox brush is stained with brown after several years of use. A new one will be good to have.

This brush is hard to use because the hair is too long, which doesn't allow you to have control while using it in the eye area that requires some precision. The hair is too course and stiff, which is very rough on the delicate skin around the eye.
