Originally purchased this 1/25/2013. Today is 9/23/13 and this straightener wouldn't even turn on this morning. Not sure what happened, as I never leave it plugged in, and my outlets are fine. I'm very disappointed that this expensive of a product would wear out so quickly. I don't straighten my hair all the time, either, maybe 1-2 times/week. I liked the straightness while it lasted, but I would definitely not repurchase this or recommend to anyone.

I wanted to buy a higher end straightener to replace my old one. I have longish medium/thin hair that is naturally curly/wavy and frizzy, esp. in humidity. This straightener heats up fast, and I was impressed by how straight it gets my hair, super soft and shiny with very few passes. Super easy to "curl" with or create flips. I haven't had any problems with it. The only thing I can complain about is the high price and that the plastic casing feels cheap, creaks/squeaks when you clamp it. :( Hoping this one lasts me a long time.
