I'm a gal and my guy likes this too. It will lather a bit if you rub it in your hands briskly before applying. However I don't like too many bubbles, so I can see what I'm doing when I shave my legs. I simply rub once between my hands, then apply.
My guy borrowed it on a trip and liked it but likes foam in a can a bit better, truth be told. He admitted it left his face softer than the canned stuff. This left my legs soft. I like this because it comes in small tubes, which are so much better for travel than bulky cans.
