I was looking for a clean citrus-y fragrance and thought this would be it. The vanilla seemed interesting with the grapefruit and I love the fact that this is a "healthy" fragrance, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I honestly do not smell any citrus/grapefruit what so ever and this smells so sweet on me, not clean and fresh at all. And it is a VERY strong overwhelming scent.
This is going back unfortunately- it didn't work for me at all.

I really like the scent, but it doesn't last very long. I have worn Casual by Paul Sebastion for years. I get comments ALL of the time. Strangers ask me what I'm wearing, 10 hours after I put it on. I haven't had one comment on this scent. I'm a little disappointed.

I love this perfume spray as well as the roller ball that I can carry easily in my purse. It doesn't have the toxic chemicals that the traditional perfumes have. It fits well into my healthy lifestyle. It is not cheap but not overly expensive either. I would highly recommend it.

After all the reviews I felt I had to try this fragrance. I recently had a baby and it totally changed my body chemistry as well as my desire to smell so much like perfume.

I found the vanilla notes to be too sweet and immature, the grapefruit too tart. The combination on my skin smelled as though I put on a cheap perfume and forgot to wear deodorant. At first the smell was interesting and light, but as the day continued the smell got stronger, heavier and more pungent.

Using it as an oil, it is more likely to react with your body chemistry and body heat. It obviously didn't react well with mine, but it may for someone else.

Other than that, the bottle is convienent for putting in your bag, the roller ball worked well, the scent lasted through the day and it is a unique fragrance that if it complimented your body chemistry, would garner many compliments by those who got close.

I really love the scent. It's not really grapefruit or vanilla, it's a mix that's unique and enjoyable. BUT it doesn't last long at all! I have started layering it with a bergamot eau de parfum and that combination lasts longer. I guess the unnatural stuff is what makes other perfumes stay around. For [$]a bottle, it should last better!!

I swich up my fragrances nearly daily, I go between what kind of mood I'm in and how I'm feeling. This is in my rotation that and will stay there! This fragrance not only smells wonderful, you will get compliments, guaranteed. My Dentist even loves this scent and he doesn't usually like fragrances, but he's actually asked where I purchased it and complains when I don't wear it! It's unique to any other fragrance, people that smell it are intriqued. It's long lasting too and you definitely don't need much (couple spritz last all day), goes on bold, but softens during the day...the essential oils cling to your skin and nourish the skin. One of my must haves!

I had read about the Lavanila line, but I didn't find myself all that curious about these fragrances. On my skin, "natural" fragrances usually smell like perfume oils you can purchase at grocery markets. Vanilla in fragrances seemed to be so overdone, I couldn't imagine that something with a dull, basic name like "Vanilla Grapefruit" would be unique, and lovely! During this cold rainy season, I always crave vanilla fragrances, particularly dry, woody ones. Last week I was sniffing fragrances at Nordstrom and I came across the Lavanilas (on display with the Carons...which seemed odd). I was excited to find something I hadn't already tried, so I sprayed test strips with each of the Lavanilas. Immediately, Pure Vanilla enchanted me (it reminds me very much of an old favorite, La Maison de la Vanille Noire du Mexique, so I sprayed it on my wrists to see if it would smell good on me. I found myself loving it, and I kept being drawn to the paper strip of Vanilla Grapefruit. I now own both (purchased here), and I received a free travel sized Vanilla Coconut lotion with my order. Vanilla Grapefruit is along the lines of Fresh Sugar Blossom, but has grapefruit instead of lemon. It's really much prettier than the Sugar Blossom. Vanilla Grapefruit smells like a "perfume" not just a body product scented with fruit and vanilla. It's light, sweet, slightly floral, and quite feminine. It's not a scent for children, and it's not a bubble gum/cotton candy scent like the ones often detectable on young teenagers. The grapefruit notes aren't bitter, just bright, and the vanilla is definitely not "spun sugar"-type vanilla. It's dry and sugary without being syrupy. I've found the Lavanila fragrances to have excellent lasting power on my skin; the Pure Vanilla is one of the longest lasting scents I own. (I own a LOT of fragrances). I'm impressed with this line, because it managed to make me more open to the idea that natural fragrances may work for me, and it proves that not all vanillas are made for junior high dances!

I wear it daily, reapplying as needed. It smells good in the drydown as well. Unique and lovely.

I am a self-proclaimed perfume junkie and after reading reviews about this online (the closest Sephora or Nordstrom are about 3 hours from me) I bought the roller and just got it today. I was expecting a more teeny-bopper type-- for lack of a better adjective-- vanilla scent, like Victorias Secret vanilla, don't get me wrong, I love that scent, but this was unexpectedly sophisticated, a more grown-up vanilla if you will. The citrus is very, very subtle. I was expecting/hoping the grapefruit would be a little bolder. Overall I think this is a really sweet and sensual scent without being obnoxious and I really like it. P.S. if anyone gets the roller, don't overdo it, I rolled it everywhere thinking that it wouldn't be strong or last very long--- it is and it does! Totally worth it
