Cleanse in the morning and evening. Moisten face, neck and decollete with warm face cloth. Mix 1/2 -1 inch (1-2 cm) of Cleansing Cream with warm water in the palm of hand to form a smooth, creamy paste. Press mixture gently into skin then roll hands up and away in a wave-like motion. Start in the center of the forehead then slowly work outward and down, ending at the decollete. Avoid eye area. Continue this press and roll motion for 1-3 minutes (less time for sensitive skin; more for oily/combination skin). Do not rub or scrub. Rinse with warm water then finish with a splash of cool, fresh water to close pores. For sensitive skin use warm water only. |

If you're used to perfumed products and like them, this might not be for you. If you're looking for a facial cleanser, or any product Dr. Hauschka makes, and want the most natural, non-irritating, kind to your body product, you've found it in this company. It's good to get help at a decent natural product pharmacy, from someone who's trained in Hauschka products to get the right things, there's much to choose from... I stopped using their facial cleanser to try out other brands and none compared to this. It might take a week or so to see results, but skin glows with it, it doesn't burn and it's lovely. It's expensive, but worth it. Jurlique is nice, too, but they use almond shells instead of almonds! If you like fragrance and don't mind all the garbage ingredients in most soaps, why bother with the real thing? This is it.

I usually use ProActiv and this worked well for a few days but then I broke out once the weather turned hot. Wasn't real happy about how small the tube was, can't they make a larger tube? Think it is good for normal skin but be careful if you have oily/acne prone skin.

I fell in love with the clarifying day oil and wanted to branch out in to other items in this line; I got a sample size of this and the first time I used it, though awkward and messy, felt nice and like it really cleaned. I used it the next morning (after wearing nothing to bed as they suggest, though against my better judgment) and was left greasy and feeling like I had to wash with another cleanser right after. I used it the exact same way, so it was pretty disappointing. I continued to have fluctuating results, so for something so inconsistent, it's not worth it to me. I saw no difference in anything about my skin in the 2 weeks I used it, and don't care to invest more money to *see* if it gets better over time. From all the positive reviews I've seen, it seems I'm the only one with this result, which is also disappointing, but I'll stick with my routine and the oil, but this is a miss for me.

This cleanser is fantastic, but I think you really do need to use it with the other products, as a full regimen. For people who don't want to commit, because all of this is pretty expensive, Dr. Hauschka sells kits with samples of the various products. I did that first.
It took my skin about a week or so to make the conversion from heavy exfoliation with a Clarisonic to very gentle exfoliation with this cream - so my skin felt pretty weird during that time. Now, I'm on my third month of my "sensitive combination skin" regimen and I've seen a noticeable reduction in my occasional cystic acne and also a general improvement of my skin overall. I'm a convert!

This is a fantastic product that I cannot live without. It is not a scrub -- if you press and roll it will eventually gently peel away any dead skin much like those old "pretty feet" creams. Plus the action of pressing and rolling massages your skin and brings increased blood flow and tone to the face. It takes longer to do my cleansing routine, but it's worth it and I enjoy it. Especially the results.

I love this product! I use it in the morning and at night (at night I also use the cleansing milk for a double cleanse) and it makes me skin feel so good. It has reduced the appearance of acne and I've only been using it for two weeks. It comes in a really small container, which is a bummer considering how expensive it is, but I think it's worth the money. I'm getting my next one already so I'll have it for immediate use after I finish the first one!

I use this in the morning, as I don't think it removes makeup very well. It's gently exfoliating an makes my skin soft. The only downside is the smell. Don't know exactly how to describe it, but it's a little weird.
