I was shocked when I saw the ingredients. Water, salt, lavender oil...that's all?? I can easily make this in my kitchen that would cost me a few cents. Can't beileive how much John Masters charges for salt water.

I wanted something that gives that full body and big waves the ocean always seems to give, and this product did just that. Unfortunately it also has the drying effect the ocean has. You're going to need hair cream, or light oil to balance that effect. As a girl with curly, dry hair, its nothing I couldn't handle. The simple ingredients of this product (water, sea salt, and lavender essential oil) made me wonder if i couldn't make something similar for cheap....all in all, i'm happy i gave this a try. :)

This is fantastic for "second day hair" - I have wavy hair with some curl that is shoulder length. The second day (after washing) I wake up with limp & flat hair. This spray is a miracle product! I mist it all over my dry, flattened hair, and then I scrunch all over using a dollop of the John Masters silk protein hair gel. The combo creates a ton of body and I'm able to add fullness at the scalp and my hair looks as nice as it does right after I wash it. It's great for days you don't have time to wash & re-style your hair. It also smells heavenly. Note - it does dry in your hair slightly stiff feeling (but that holds the shape really well) so the next time I wash my hair I use the John Masters Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor conditioner as he recommends on the website. It's super conditioning so it compensates for the salt in the sea mist. The Sea Mist also makes you feel like you've had a day at the beach - it's fun to use!

My hair is fine and wavy so I am always lokoing for products that will add body and encourage the wave/curliness. This product sounded great, but in person it's just so-so. It smells good and isn't heavy, but it really dulled my hair and didn't add much body. I would spend a bit more and get the Fekkai Beach Waves, it's a better product.

I use this as a "refresher" spray occasionally, but I can't use it often because it's very drying for me. It's light, it smells wonderful, and it really perks up hair. If I use a lot of it, it works to help "elongate" my medium/thick curls and give them a looser look. Strangely, on my daughter, this has the opposite effect. Her hair is thick, and more wavy, without defined curls (yet), and this gives her bouncy, springy waves. It instantly adds fullness and body to her hair. As long as I use a leave-in conditioner my hair can occasionally tolerate the drying effect from the sodium chloride, but I think this dulls the shine on hair. Overall, for texture and fullness, this is excellent. You get a lot of product for the price, too

I love the texture this product provides and it really amps up my wavy hair into curls galore! Just like the effect you get from a trip to the ocean! Works best on wet hair. I've also used it on dry hair to cut down on the frizzies and provide texture (although you won't get as much curl this way). The lavender scent is lovely, but not overpowering and fades as it dries so it doesn't compete with my perfume. I don't find that it dries my hair out at all, but I only use it a few times per week.

I have fine, wavy hair and a lot of it. This product made my hair dry, stringy and very dull but it was very wavy and curly. I would never use this product again and I never review products. This product was so bad that I felt I should let other people know before they purchase it.

I first realized salt makes my hair fuller when I was overseas living in a village in South America that only had saltwater for bathing and washing clothes. Since everyone had much thicker hair than I they warned me the salt would make my hair uncontrollable. Wrong! It was nice and full! This sea mist is perfect for my thin hair, especially in the winter when I sweat less, or if I can go a day without washing my hair, because its still clean. I avoid blow drying my hair, since it takes time and the heat is rough on my hair. This mist makes my hair really manageable and full of life. Otherwise my straight "slept with wet hair last night" looks limp and boring the next day. I mist around my hair, not directly at the roots (that makes it oily), lift it and allow the mist to settle. A little goes a long way!! Have to wash the day after though, cuz hair does get dryish. WORTH IT!!

I have used other sea spray products that have been effective, but this is not. It smells good, but in order to get any body out of it, I have to use too much. I would not recommend this product.
