Once the lips have been defined with appropriate lip liner, use the Lip Brush to apply lipstick to the lip. Using the Lip Brush will provide control and aid in blending. Applying the lipstick directly from the tube will allow a richer application of color. For more of a matte finish and to remove excess product, place tissue over the lips and gently smooth finger over the lips. For Extra Long Lasting Color: Define and fill in entire lip with lip liner. Apply lip color directly from tube. Using only a single ply of tissue place tissue over the lips. Using a powder puff or sponge, pat loose powder over the lips to set. Reapply lipstick. Full Looking Lips: Add Lip Gloss or Lip Lacquer just in the center of the bottom lip and at the bow of the top lip. |

To my sisters of color--I bought this thinking it would be like the Marvin Gaye song--perfect and classic. Well, it's beautiful for women with pale alabaster skin tones; but bears a little caution for those of us with more yellow or red in our skin tones. It's not a universally flattering shade like Dolce Vita or the Bettina matte velvet lip pencil. I suggest using with a darker liner to balance things out.

This NARS lipstick is great for everyday wear. The color is perfect for(i think) all shades of hair color. Substle, and has a slight shimmer. But nothing too shiney....
BOTTOM LINE: A very GOOD lipstick.

I love the frosts by Nars so much better. They are a little less drier on the lips esp in the winter when lips tend to get more dry from licking them or picking them which I'm prone to do. If you forget the chap stick first you can get away with wearing the frosty shades better by Nars and they also make you look a little tan esp if you have a bronzer on your face or a power. You don't look as pale in the winter.

Nice subtle color and shimmer. It didn't make my lips feel dry like a lot of matte or frost lipsticks tend to do. It also lasts for a long time. This color is probably best suited for fair complexions.

Looked everywhere for this color. When I finally found it, I couldn't wait to return it. The color is horrible, it's too frosty for a grown woman. Had a strange gold tint that made me look even worse.
