I have adult onset acne and have suffered from breakouts for years now. I feel like I've tried just about every product on the market to no avail. After one night of using the Arcona problem skin line, I could see an improvement in my skin. The products smell terrific and seem to work well. Overall, I am very pleased. The only complaints I have are minor and are about packaging rather than product.
I've seen that some people have complained about the soap getting wet and yucky in the container. I have been using a wet wash cloth and rubbing it across the top of the soap without removing the soap from its jar. This seems to be working well for me.

I had hopes for this product, especially given the reviews. There's plenty of literature about acne creation taking 2 weeks, so acne products really require a month of use before full effects can be known. I have moderately sensitive skin; allergic to certain preservative chemicals in fragrances. I'd been using Clearasil's Daily Face Wash, sensitive and regular, for years, plus benzoyl peroxide. Occasional salicylic acid for spot treatment. This levels my acne to small amounts of minor/small acne, and reduction of nodules to one every one or two months, and as far as nodules/cysts go, they're relatively mild. When I started using Arcona's raspberry acne bar, it was good at first. It dried my skin out and never stopped, but that dries acne. Skin never got flaky. Because it was drying, I used it once a day for a few days, then morning and night daily, consistently. It smells AMAZING (if a little strong, but it lasts). The small acne cleared up, the skin looked really good. But after about 2.5 weeks, the small acne started to appear in greater quantity than I've ever had in my life. I had bumps all over my face, with a noticeable increase in white heads, papules, and pustules. Then I got a couple of nodules. I continued using this face wash for a couple more weeks, my skin continued with the acne and nodules. I stopped using this wash, went back to my previous routine, and 2.5 weeks later, my skin finally settled back to its previous state of predictable mild acne. I don't know if I was actually just sensitive to this face wash, but it made my acne worse than it has ever been in 15 years. I think it threw the Ph balance of my skin way off. It didn't obviously irritate my skin, though, because my skin itches and flakes.

I love this soap. It is gentle for my very sensitive skin and leaves my skin clean. I love that it is all natural, too. I have found I have to wash my hands after use of it will over dry them. It is a little pricy... but worth it!

I have used everything under the sun and still can't get rid of my adult acne (I'm in my early 30s). I read all of the rave reviews and thought this product might be the "one!" Unfortunately for me, it made my skin break out worse than I have in years. I got all these tiny little bumps on my cheeks and huge cystic acne on my chin (I never get cystic acne). I thought maybe it was just pulling some things to the surface and thought maybe it would pass once my skin was rid of all the dirt and debris, but I used it for 6 weeks and no change. Wish I could have returned it. If it works for you, great! But it definitely did not for me.

This is really an incredible cleanser. I've tried everything under the sun but nothing has worked like this one. Even if some zits do try and make their way to the surface it always dies out quick. I love this stuff, there is no reason that you shouldn't be buying this immediately!

Hands down the best acne product I have every tried and I have tried many. It never dries out my skin, in fact I have had less dry patches with this despite it being an acne product. I have hormonal skin that is extremely hard to balance. I always have a breakout going on and it get's worse during that certain time of the month. Well, I have been trying this as a part of the problem skin arcona five for less than two week and my skin looks amazing. I still have some zits and breakouts near my hairline, but they are gone from my cheeks which is what I am mainly worried about (because I already have some acne scarring there). I am going to use a little more of the product to see if it can help my hairline as well. I did start this at the same time as my clarisonic, so I am sure a lot of the improvements could be attributed to that, but this is my magic combination! I use the clarisonic twice a day skipping the mornings where I use the Cranberry gommage from the Arcona Problem Skin 5. Get the whole package, you won't regret it! Also try the tea tree mask. I used it yesterday and my face looks so much better I could cry.
P.S The fact that this is a bar doesn't bother me like it does some. I prefer it actually, because it lasts way long and that's a plus for the environment (less packaging). I just set the cap on without screwing it or leave it off and it dries out fine.

This facial cleaner is awesome! I have adult acne and my fair complexion can become rather ruddy. My skin looks and feels great after using this product. It smells amazing, is lightweight yet cleans thoroughly. I noticed a significant improvement in the texture and clarity of my complexion after using this for a few weeks. I use this in combination with the Cranberry toner and magic white ice moisturizer. I use it in the morning with my clarisonic.
In regards to complaints about the packaging and wasting the product - I cut the bar into quarters and save the remaining pieces in a ziploc bag. I now have several containers the bar comes in so I enclose the bag in one of those containers. The bar splits easily using a long knife and a cutting board.

I have not been using this long but can tell this will be my new love. I get excited to wash my face so I can use it. Like the other comments I'm not a big fan of "the bar". But have learned to look past it because it is such a great product. Smells so good I want to eat it :)

This stuff doesn't smell that great but it doesn't smell bad either. The scent kind of reminds of something that you would encounter in the dentist's office. More importantly, it works! It gives my super oily skin a nice matte feeling without drying that lasts. It is kind of expensive but lasts a long, long time.

At first, this soap smelled funny to me, but I quickly got used to it and couldn't deny the results. I tried other products, thinking I had conquered my adult acne, but it came back. For me, this works as well as prescription products and more expensive "designer" ones, too. I won't be caught without it anymore. It is used with the AM acne lotion and the Tea Tree mask.

I tried this line after my sister recommended it to me. I've had acne, blackheads and clogged skin my whole life, with nothing really helping it, and I've tried many, many lines to no avail. I've had the most success with Arcona, though it is a little intense - I equate using it on your skin with starting a new, radical diet. Both shock your system, and you go through withdrawals of one kind or another before finally becoming used to it. I saw results within the first week of using this bar (along with the other items in the Problem Skin Kit, which they do not offer here for some reason), and continue to see good results a few months later. They recommend using nothing but their products for the first chunk of time, and again I equate this with a diet - you have to get your skin accustomed to healthy ingredients first, then you can start adding other things back in. My skin, while usually frustratingly oily, has begun getting dry patches, but all I have to do is apply some of my favorite moisturizer to the dry parts and all is well. This bar smells great, yields a good amount of llather without being an actual soap, and rinses off easily and completely. It is gentle, yet effective enough for even my oily, oily skin. The only con i found was that if left in its original container, it starts to disintegrate unless it's completely dry. I followed another reviewer's recommendation and cut it into eighths, and also bought a small plastic soap holder to allow it to drain and dry properly, and because I did so, that first little eighth has lasted me three and a half months! I would recommend this regimen to anyone with problem skin.
