I've never been diagnosed with KP, but I did have some bumps on my skin near my elbows and above my knees that never went away and sometimes would leave dark marks. I've heard of this before, but the price steered me away from it. It wasn't until I read a review in [...]where they rated it "best overall exfoliator" that I decided I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. First off, I have to say, I don't think a lot of the other reviewers followed the package directions. You are supposed to use this stuff when your skin is dry. So before I turn on the water in the shower, I scrub up with it, then rinse it off after a couple minutes (I figure a few minutes of letting the acids work in the scrub can't hurt). After just two uses, my bumps went completely away- not to mention the rest of my body is smoother than ever. It is more expensive than I'd like, but if you follow the directions- it is possible to be a little more frugal with your usage.

I think this does an excellent job at exfoliating the dead rough skin off of the body (must use on dry skin, then rinse off as directed). It leaves my skin considerably smoother and softer without leaving a layer of grease to soften or making it feel dry and tight to remove the dead skin. I've been using it 3 times weekly for about a month. Unfortunately, it hasn't gotten rid of my KP. It has made the bumps smoother, an overall improvement of maybe 30%- but it is still very visible. I will continue to buy this for the excellent exfoliation... but it won't replace Elocon (prescription steroidal ointment) for controlling my KP.

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
My 14 year old daughter has had KP since she was born. It has recently gotten worse, actually feeling like sandpaper on the backs of her upper arms. We have tried many types of moisturizers and exfoliators. This is what has worked the best, by far. After one use, the bumps were so much less noticeable, and there was improvemnt as she continued to use it. She puts it on dry skin about 10 minutes before she showers, rinses it off in the shower, then moisturizers with plain coconut oil afterward. I don't think these bumps will ever completely disappear, but this has reduced them by about 70-80%. She does say it stings a little after about 5 minutes, but it doesn't really hurt, and she does have sensitive skin. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but I will continue to pay for it because it works. It is also $16 cheaper on this site than at the national chain store where I first saw it.

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
It's expensive but well worth the money. A little goes a long way. I have used this product about four times now and I have already noticed a difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. I have tried everything to make my skin feel soft and smooth. Nothing has ever worked quite like this. I also have very dry skin and this product doesn't seem to irritate or dry out my skin. I love the way I feel when I get out of the shower and what I love even more is that it doesn't leave a film on me or my tub like other scrubs might.

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
I have been using this KP body scrub for over 5 years.. i can't recall how i came across it but i'm glad i did...it's worth every penny and i am the price caution type. Chicken skin is what sold me. plus the claim is true about using it at least twice out the week.. a LITTLE goes LONG way...my skin is smooth for days. its perfect..to use before shaving. its good for the ingrown hairs..and you can use it more than twice if you want...but you really dont have to...i haven't stocked up on this in a little while. and i surely miss it...im alway looking for a the next best product... and this is 1 product that's a must for me...i always re-order this product.

As a person with Keratosis Polaris, I have tried EVERY exfoliation product on the market to try and keep my arms as smooth as possible. I keep coming back to this one because it does seem to help minimize my "chicken skin" bumps.

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
I use it because this awful, crepy skin that is relentless as we age can be eradicated - even if temporarily - by this stuff! It doesn't always get rid of it all but my skin ALWAYS looks smoother and younger when I use it and THAT'S THE TRUTH! It IS a little messy. Rub it on all over before a shower and keep an easy to wash robe or towel wrapped around you while you wait. I usually leave it on for a lot longer than it says on the label. Around 15-20 minutes or so? Or if I get on the computer it can be a lot longer but I don't think it matters. It works GREAT!

Wonderful exfoliator. Not for wimps! But gets rid of any deadskin to reveal soft new skin. As an improvement, it would be nice if they added a pretty fragrance. It's fragrance free (which I guess some may like).

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
I LOVE this. I just wanted a better scrub to use on my body (use Simone France on my face) and tried this out. OMG! This stuff is sooo wonderful! My skin is so soft and anything I use after I wash this off (SKII) just sinks right in. My husband has commented on how soft my skin is and I've even noticed on my hands (use the excess after rubbing on my body) are baby soft!!

Comments about DERMAdoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub, 16 fl oz:
This is the best product I've used for kp. Don't bother with the creams, they don't aren't as effective. I use this once a week on my arms and legs. It got rid of the kp on the back of my thighs and keeps my skin smooth and silky. I even get a better shave after using this on my legs! This one is staying in my weekly routine!
