John Masters Organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor is a super-intense conditioning treatment for revitalizing and restoring your hair. The perfect reconstructor for very dry, damaged or color-treated hair. May be used after each shampoo or as a weekly treatment as needed. We've improved the Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor to be even more beneficial to the hair. Here's some info on the new ingredients:
And here's more information about the existing hyaluronic acid:
As you age and your skin is exposed to environmental pollutants and the sun's ultraviolet rays, your cells gradually lose the ability to produce hyaluronic acids. Studies have shown that older skin and hair typically has lower levels of hyaluronic acid. As you age, skin tissues and hair shaft can become dehydrated, resulting in a loss of volume. By its nature, hyaluronic acid retains water like a sponge, absorbing more than 1,000 times its weight. This helps to attract and maintain water within the extracellular space, hydrating the hair follicle and increasing its volume and density. Hyaluronic acid is also involved with the transport of essential nutrients and provides volume, helping to reconstruct the hair and contribute to the overall healthy appearance. Cruelty free. Bio-degradable. |

I tried this conditioner to go with the shampoo (which I absolutely love). I really like this conditioner, but I'm not in love with it. I have very fine hair (but a lot of it) so flyways are often a problem if a conditioner doesn't do what it's supposed to. I have not had any problems with flyways since I've been using this product. So I DO believe it's a great product. But it's lighter weight than I'm used to, so I'm still trying to get used to that aspect of it. I also wish it came in a larger tube. I use conditioner every day so I'm going to end up buying this size at least once a month. If it were offered in a larger bottle, it would be easier on my wallet!

If you are careful to only use a tiny amount and spend a long time rinsing very thoroughly with hot water, then it will make your hair look great. It does a lovely job of reducing frizz, even in humid weather, and smells very pretty too (like honey). However, if you don't have the time to do that, you'll have to go through the whole day with a residue that weighs hair down and makes it look limp and greasy. By no means put it on your scalp! Also, it is not a detangler at all. It's sticky! I'll use up the bottle now that I know how to use it right. I do think it improves the condition of my hair somewhat. But I won't be re-buying. Product takes too much patience to get good results.

Comments about john masters organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor, 4 oz:
I have a ton of thick, wavy hair that can be a frizz-ball without the right products, and I am in love with this conditioner (and the shampoo that goes with it, too). It's the best I've ever used, hands down. It doesn't feel like other conditioners do going on; it's more like an oil that has to soak in or something, so I rub it in and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. I really didn't notice a huge difference right away and thought that I wouldn't buy a second tube of it. I guess it must have taken my hair a little while to get used to it or something, but when I was about 3/4 of the way through the tube, I suddenly realized that my hair felt and looked better than it had in years. Less frizzy, less dry, shinier. The last time I went in for a cut/color, my stylist even noted that my hair is in amazing condition; typically, she nags me about needing to deep condition because it's dry! I only wash my hair twice a week since it's pretty dry, and I don't have problems at all with my scalp looking greasy like I often do with other conditioners.

Comments about john masters organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor, 4 oz:
I've been a fan of the JMO Honey and Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor for some time, and love it so much it replaced my previous favorite shampoo that I'd been using for 6 years. The shampoo is wonderful, and I'd been using the JMO Citrus and Neroli light conditioner as a leave-in, which works better than anything I'd tried, including this product. Don't get me wrong, this is a good conditioner. I was just expecting it to be a deep conditioner, which it's not on my medium-fine, wavy hair. It's a good conditioner, but more of an everyday one. When this bottle is done I'll return to the leave-in, which makes even my dry, frizzy ends feel soft and healthy.

I absolutely LOVE this product. I think I have tried everything out there from cheap to super expensive and I finally found a product that I don't have to worry about replacing because it works wonders. I sent a bottle to my Mom and she loved it. Best product I have EVER used. Highly recommend it!!!!

Comments about john masters organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor, 4 oz:
I always use this conditioner right after I have my hair permed. I have very fine hair that requires a perm to behave at all. It has a tendency to be dry after a perm and for some reason, this is the only conditioner that moisturizers, conditions and defines curls much better than products specifically for curly hair. It is very expensive for so little product, but I have tried others and they just don't work as well. I also use the shampoo and love that too. It smells great. I highly recommend it for those with hair like mine.

Comments about john masters organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor, 4 oz:
I used this as a deep conditioning treatment leaving it on for 20 minutes without desirable results. I then tried it as a daily conditiner twice and was not impressed either. For the price I expected ALOT from this product and was VERY disappointed. It left my hair fly away, not shiny and not smooth and moisturized. [...] This [$]conditioner will be collecting dust in my "shampoo graveyard"
