I am disappointed with myself for making this purchase...I have plenty of apple cider vinegar in my pantry that I have used as a rinse on my hair, and honestly, this smells no different...I was really expecting better, especially from a John Masters product...I may just give it away, or mix it with a self-created rinse...I will say it does add a nice shine to the hair, though.

Removes product build up very well but doesn't strip the hair. It conditions very well to the point that you don't need to use conditioner afterwards. Non-toxic ingredients.

This product definitely needs to be used as directed. The first few times that I used it, I did not water it down enough. It dried my hair out too much when used this way. Once i really added the right amount of water to it, this was one of the best clarifying treatments I ever used! I am ordering more because I have been using it once a week to get rid of product build up. It really makes your hair shine. I used it after shampooing and before conditioing. It is just a short extra step and the vinegar type smell goes away after I use my final conditioner.

So I bought this because I wanted to use something after my highlighting to "seal" in color, like this claims. I have platinum highlights and I swear this turned them orange/gold! Not worth ruining an expensive dye job over. Didn't notice any shine either. John Masters products in general have really been disappointing.

Great for adding shine to hair, and getting product residue out without drying. Another great product from john masters. the smell may turn off some, as it smells just like vinegar, but if you shampoo afterwards as directed, the smell should neutralize to a more apple scent by the time you get out of the shower.

This is NOT the product to use on dry hair! I have colored (auburn) hair, and this really left it feeling parched and tangled.
