I kept seeing reviews for this product and finally decided I had to give it a try. While there are only a handful of hand lotions that I swear by I've added L'Occitane to my list. It is a bit pricey but a splurge I enjoy keeping in my bag. While it does not out-perform any of my favorites it is still a wonderful treat that works very well. The smell alone is almost worth the price. But it actually works - too many times I've seen products make claims that they cannot uphold. Not true with this product. It goes on smoothly and without a greasy feel (though, like any hand cream, if you slather it on you will get the greasy feeling.) It absorbs quickly and lasts until your next hand-washing. While it won't be the product I keep by my bedside it will definitely remain in my day bag not only as an excellent moisturizer for the hands but a wonderful pick-me-up smell for my day.

Not for the sensitive nose
I am sensitive to smells and this is a little to strong for me.So I use it sparingly ,only when my hands are really dry.It does make them feel soft and moisturized.

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream, 1 oz:
This is a one and done product. It moisturizes your hands, cuticles and fingernails. Over the years I believe I've tried every hand cream available. None compare. With other hand creams, cuticle and fingernail cream or oil is necessary. At first glance one would think it can't be worth the cost, but it is. Where it really shines is to cover your hands, including fingernails and cuticles, pop on some cotton gloves and dream away. Wake up to new younger hands. I'm not sure I use any product where I see such a noticeable difference overnight. Try all of the less expensive ones first and then become a L'Occitane lover. It's the one I take in my handbag. In the summer if I'm out and notice a dry spot on my feet in my sandals, my hand cream becomes foot cream. The 20% Shea butter used must be the secret. If I have a scar, my cuticles or nails are dry, or a place needs something a little extra, my L'Occitane hand cream is what I reach for. It's dependable and is the most emollient product I've used without waiting to touch something. The cost savings part is it's not needed every time you wash your hands. It lasts for hours. I always have my hands in water. With L'Occitane, I dry my hands and they're still moisturized. If you compare using other hand cream every time you wash your hands, then you realize the price of L'Occitane is reasonable. Also, it's not convenient to find hand cream every time you wash your hands. Are we supposed to carry hand cream in pockets we don't always have? And especially in the winter I don't like the dry feeling my hands have after washing them if they're not protected by L'Occitane. L'Occitane Is so thick and it only takes a little per use. I love it. It is the best, soft hands down.

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream, 1 oz:
I am the pickiest person in the world. I do like higher brands but ONLY if they are natural. I do not like using chemicals or anything unnatural on my skin/hair. This is the best hand lotion I have used that adds a glow to my hands/skin, actually moisturizes and has good ingredients. I do tons of research before buying a product, but I discovered this when I was in high school through my french teacher and have been obseessed ever sense. My only issue is that I wish the moisturization would last longer. It lasts about 4-6 hours but I have always liked 12-24 hour products haha. I only use this during the winter because it is the only time i have dry skin. Its a little heavy for spring/summer use but incredible none the less!!!! You will not be waisting your money with this at all!

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream, 1 oz:
This is an excellent hand cream. It is slightly heavy - too much for my husband, he doesn't like it - but perfect for me. I find that if a hand cream isn't a little heavy, it won't last on my very dry skin and I will reapply constantly. This lasts well too, which I like. The only drawback is the scent, which I really don't like, but it's not enough to keep me from using because this is a really nice product. I have repurchased it twice and would recommend it to anyone.

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream, 1 oz:
With all the reviews about how wonderful this smells, and the description, "subtle scent of jasmine and ylang-ylang" I didn't expect it to smell overwhelmingly like baby powder. It works very well and leaves my hands extremely soft, but I wouldn't have bought it if I had known what it smells like! The baby powder scent really clashes with other scents of products and perfume I wear.
