Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, with Pat Benatar, .5 fl oz:
I bought this with much excitement.First, who doesn't want to buy a color inspired by a rad song by a cool lady? Also, I like using dark colors during the winter and I shy away from nothing.I read the reviews and it sounded great. When it came I immediately tried it. It didn't look good; it highlighted every groove.I went and bought a ridge filler and then used it. It went on more smoothly, but not great. Then I had to apply more than three thick coats to get the color. If you don't it looks cheap and watered-down, not dark at all. And if you have any nail flaws be prepared for them to be accentuated. So I applied tons of coats and it looked pretty cool, a sort of gun-metal finish. However, this stuff chips as quickly as the $3 drugstore kind. The color it finally achieves is it's only redeeming factor. It claims to be good for your nails, but I have no idea if that's true.

This is the absolute best nail polish color. It is beautiful black without being scary black. Pick up a bottle you won't regret it.

Love it! The most user-friendly dark polish I have ever applied, by far, wih a lovely, not too "frosty" shade. Worth it.

I've been wanting to buy a black nail polish, but have been worried about buying a flat black color since I have very pale skin; this color, however, looks fantastic because it has a bit of sparkle to it. In certain lights, it almost has a deep purple tint to it. It's a great color, and perfect for the recent dark-polish trends!

If you are looking for a dark nail color for fall but shy away from the vampire black polish, this color is for you. The metallic shimmery charcoal is edgy enough without being borderline bizarre.

I love this color!!! Its a combination of charcoal and metallic black. It's great for the toes. Stays on forever without chipping. The consistency is thin, so the bottle lasts a long time. Worth the money in my opinion...all Lippmann polishes are. I also love Sarah Smiles and Whatever Lola Wants.
