As an experiment, we got Razor Sharp and Common Man, both shaving gels from Philosophy. Razor Sharp is a thinner consistency and gives a really, really close shave. Common Man is thicker, almost the consistency of lanolin cream, doesn't blend well with water, and doesn't give as close a shave. So, after a few weeks use, my daughters and I fell in love with Razor Sharp, while my hubby fell in love with Common Man. We get really close shaves on our legs and underarms and never cut ourselves. We can even go longer without shaving because it gets so close. My hubby, on the other hand, cuts himself all the time from using Common Man and is getting those ingrown hair things. He still refuses to use Razor Sharp; he just can't get used to the thinner consistency. The bottle lasts for several months, even with three of us using it. Much more economical than the stuff at the store and my highly sensitive skin is not allergic to it.

I wasn't impressed with this shave gel. I think it should be meant for men. I didn't notice any closer of a shave on my legs than normal. The product is really thin and doesn't lather at all. It's a weird consistency for a shave gel. I agree on the bottle design... the plastic is too hard and difficult to squeeze.

Nice shave gel, but in a poorly designed bottle. Razor Sharp comes in a very hard, stiff bottle that is difficult to squeeze, especially in the shower shaving your legs. I usually end up watering it down for easier use. I wish philosophy would change this bottle!

This shaving gel is fantastic for men. I can't remember the last time I've had a cut. It lasts a long time as well--I've been using it for 6 months, and still have 1/4 of the bottle left. It actually turns out to be cheaper than the typical products (Edge, Gilette, etc.) you pick up at the drugstore.

This stuff is wonderful. Leaves your legs and underarms so smooth and beautiful.

The product was satisfactory, but I detested the bottle! Very difficult to use in the shower, impossible to access all of the pricey product.

I was not impressed with this shave gel. It was too thin and didn't "lather" up on my face, or give me a close shave. Also gave it to my boyfriend to use and he didn't like it either.... It is probably OK for females to shave their legs, but not for men's faces. I'm sticking to my Lab Series or Nancy Boy.

This stuff is really great for my legs, but it's clear, so it's hard to know where you are shaving...but it's so close and wonderful you won't regret it! It takes hardly any to do a full shave, and lasts a long time!

At first glance, it is very expensive. But it only takes a very small amount of product for a full face male shave. You get a great, super close shave with littl to no iritation, becuase your blade just glides right over, without getting all mucked up with shaving cream. I bought a bottle from Drugstore.com and had it shipped to me in Iraq. You can use this with very little water too. I have been using my bottle for about nine months now and still have have of it left. Recommend using it in conjunction with the Neutrogena shave cream as well.

Overpriced for what you get. If you are a person who is use to shaving with cream and like to know where you are going and where you have been, then this isn't the stuff for you. It is completely liquid and colorless on your leg, and I had no idea where the next "row" to be shaved was. Several times I would think I had done a perfect job just to get into the sun and be embarrassed to find out I had missed a whole strip. I guess Im just too visual for this stuff. Besides, I didn't think that my legs were any more smooth or soft than the cheaper creams. Sorry philosophy. I think your stuff smells nice, but is overpriced.
