My hairdresser introduced this product to me when stringy "beach hair" was a fashion statement, but I came to love it for its real purpose. It is annoying if you spray it on dry hair and then expect to look picture perfect coming off the beach, but it is fantastic sprayed on wet hair for swimming at the beach or pool. It really protects your hair from drying out if you spend a lot of time in the water and is no trouble to wash out after. (Which you are going to do anyway to protect your hair from the salt or chlorine.)

This product did protect my hair in the sun. However, I did not use very much of the bottle because it always left my hair greasy and weighed down. The smell does remind me of bug spray. I like that the product comes from natural ingredients.

If I could give this 0 stars I would! The smell is horrible, similar to really strong bug spray. When I sprayed this on my hair I had some sort of allergic reaction, as my throat closed up and I had a hard time breathing. If you have any sort of sensitivities to fragrance I would steer clear of this stuff!

I far prefer this product over the oily Phyto Plage Protective Beach Spray. They basically provide the same benefit, but this Sun Veil is oil free and washes out easily. It protects your hair from sun, salt and wind while making it look shiny and glossy.
