For Fine and Limp Hair - Enriched with Keratin amino acids Thanks to keratin amino acids, Phytovolume Actif gives added body to the hair. It coats the hair and helps increase the diameter of each strand of each strand thus giving the hair extra body. Phytovolume Actif gives elasticity to the hair shaft and holds your hair style. Fine and Limp Hair - Fine and limp hair is characterized by a lack of body and vitality. Soft to the touch, slightly oily and lacking hold, this type of hair is fluid and difficult to style. It falls flat immediately after shampooing, not allowing for the slightest styling effect. For maximum hair volume and improved spring at the roots, it is necessary to use products that will restore body and coat the hair shaft. PHYTO products bring the most potent active ingredients from the botanical world to your hair through Phytotherathrie, the science of haircare through plants. This product works pretty well for something that has mostly safe, non-toxic ingredients. I use product on my hair to create texture. I always use a mousse with my voluminizer. I like that it dispenses cleanly and easily. It would be perfect if it stuck to my hair a little more, but I guess you'd probably have to add toxic ingredients to get that!

This volumizer gets good reviews because makes your hair look wonderful while it is used, but it is bound to cause daily damage. On inspection after each use, I noticed many bad looking split ends throughout my head, which I would estimate as 2-5% damage to my hair per use. I looked at the ingredients and noticed that the first one is alcohol denatured. This is the worst kind of alcohol to apply to your hair out of all alcohol based cosmetics. It is no wonder this product caused split ends, and I stopped using it after two weeks. I had to cut my hair by two inches after using this product to get rid of the split ends.

Comments about PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray, Fine & Limp Hair, 4.22 fl oz:
This is my first can. I have liked it so far. I don't use tint and my hair is quite short. I was disappointed in the size of the can. (it isn't as big as a hair spray can) which makes it pricey. I will see how long the can lasts. I have only used it a few times but so far so good.

Comments about PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray, Fine & Limp Hair, 4.22 fl oz:
Somehow I had read that this was the replacement for another product that had been discontinued. It's not. It does give my thin, frail hair some volume but it seems a little drying. The other product was so much better. Why do they always discontinue the good ones??? I will use the two containers that I ordered but will probably not reorder.

Seriously nothing better for my fine, limp hair. My style is shorter with a lot of texture and this product is perfect for giving it the lift and body that it needs. I have purchased this for my family members after having such great results.

Comments about PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray, Fine & Limp Hair, 4.22 fl oz:
When used according to directions, it styles and volumizes my hair quickly and effectivelyl. I don't use it every time I style because it can dry out the hair. Using too much will give your hair the "crunchy" effect so experiment to see how much works for you.

Comments about PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray, Fine & Limp Hair, 4.22 fl oz:
I've used this product off and on for the last eight years. I stopped using it because I tried John Frieda's thickening product (it was in a sapphire blue bottle) and it worked considerably better, for half the price, and didn't damage my thin, baby fine, pencil straight, long hair the way Phytovolume actif does.
Tragedy struck when John Frieda's line had a brand make-over, changing not only the aesthetic of his product line, but also their ingredients. The product I had loved was discontinued. *tear* I found myself, again, searching. In desperation, I went back to Phytovolume Actif for several months...because I bought two of them from this website...and my hair ended up very damaged. When I look back at my photos from that year, I am shocked at how sad my hair looks. I would have been better off using no product, and had I used no product I wouldn't have had to cut 4 inches of damage off the length.
Now I'm using two products with which I am happy. John Frieda's Full-Blown Blond root lifting spray (thickens and lifts) and Umberto of Beverly Hills Volumizer Thickening Spray, which adds fullness and body to the entire length of my hair (approx. 13 inches long from roots to ends). I have minimal breakage, and neither of these products require you to blow-dry your hair to achieve the results. (I won't use a blow-dryer on my hair...not even at my stylist's request.)
