I need to shampoo everyday because I have oily hair. About 2 hours later or so, the oil in my hair would be back...that's just the way it is for me. BUT then I found this PHYTO shampoo. Not only does this shampoo give me the fullness I never had, but my oily hair is only a memory. It would get so bad for me even when I would wash my hair every morning with a clarifying shampoo and if I had plans to go out that night, I would have to rewash because I had oily hair by 7pm. NO MORE! This shampoo honestly works to dissolve and regulate the sebum glands that produce oil in the scalp. Its watery consistency is not all that great, but it makes sense that this shampoo is not thick; all the chemicals that make a shampoo thick and creamy leave a residue and film on the hair. But not this PHYTO shampoo-I can deal with the consistency because this shampoo works!!!

I bought this shampoo based on the stellar reviews here for people with oily hair. I don't get it - I have to use 3x the product because it's so watery/doesn't lather, I have to shampoo a second time because it doesn't feel clean, it smells medicinal, and the metal container with screw top lid is the dumbest packaging idea I've ever seen for a shampoo (with wet hands I almost drop it every time.) I don't see any better results than any other shampoo; the first day is great, then it degrades. I could usually go 2 or 3 days with Fekkai Glossing. I also use the phytobaume and the defrisiant from the phyto line and they seem ok.

Comments about PHYTO Phytopanama Shampoo, 6.7 oz:

For years, I have had stringy and greasy hair and have tried product after product in an effort to find something that will clean my hair well. My hair gets used to EVERYTHING I've tried. This Phyto shampoo is AWESOME -- not only does a little go a long way but it really does what it says it will. Plus, it doesn't leave any nasty residue like other shampoos (I guess because of its wateriness). I would highly recommend this shampoo to anyone who suffers from oily hair. I would agree with the tip that one should invest in a spray bottle to use it in an effort not to waste it.

Comments about PHYTO Phytopanama Shampoo, 6.7 oz:

TIP: buy a small spritzer or spray bottle to put the shampoo in. When you spray it on, you end up getting the suds you need with a lot less product and you won't spill!

Comments about PHYTO Phytopanama Shampoo, 6.7 oz:

At first I was a little put off by the faintly medicinal smell, although now it reminds me of Cedar wood. It also is like pouring water out of a bottle - very thin concoction. But it is my favorite Phyto product (together with the mallow softening conditioner). I like my hair soft and straight and shiny and this product did it - no residue either. My hair feels so clean compared to other hair products I've tried. Don't waste money on other brands - although Phyto is expensive, a little goes a long ways and the results are more than worth it.

Comments about PHYTO Phytopanama Shampoo, 6.7 oz:

I was surprised at the very watery texture of shampoo. I need to use a good amount to suds up well, but it does feel great once I get the lather going. Hair feels nicely clean and free of films. Very expensive for such watery shampoo though.
