Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp 6.7 oz (200 ml)
$19.00
For Oily Scalp with essential oil of Lemon Because an oily scalp is highly reactive, shampooing plays a vital role in restoring a normal condition. Phytocedrat is formulated with a mild plant-derived washing base that helps prevent the rebound effect (a reaction that occurs a few hours after shampooing). The recognized astringent properties of its plant-derived ingredients (Geranium and Lemon essential oil), combined with a derivative of abietic acid, gently cleanse the scalp while removing dirt and excess sebum. From the very first application, the hair feels light and the scalp is healthy-looking. Eventually, your hair will not need to be washed as often. Oily Scalp - When functioning normally, the sebaceous glands of the scalp lubricate hair with sebum. However, excessive sebum can make the hair weighed down and difficult to manage, a phenomenon that can worsen if the right shampoo is not used. The best prevention is to use a shampoo that is specially formulate to restore the balance of natural secretion of the scalp. PHYTO products bring the most potent active ingredients from the botanical world to your hair through Phytotherathrie, the science of haircare through plants. After trying dozens of products over the years, I finally came to the conclusion that nothing could help me with my oily scalp and greasy hair. It would look okay the first day, but become glued to my scalp by the next morning. This is the first product I've tried that gives me a second -- even a third -- day when I don't have to shampoo. It doesn't make my hair look dry or fly-away -- it's just normal-looking! Definitely use a spray bottle to apply, as someone here suggested, and really do the massage-and-wait a couple of minutes thing, as that will also help. It's expensive, but I use it sparingly and it's really helped me out. Hope in a bottle!

Product was VERY watery! I poured it into my hand expecting it to have a normal shampoo consistency and ended up dumping a bunch of it out. I had better luck applying it directly to my head, but I felt like I was still using way too much. And at [$] for a SMALL bottle of "superior" shampoo, I can tell that it probably won't even last 2 weeks! I think that's way too much money to spend on shampoo per month. Also, it's supposed to decrease the oil production on the scalp...I didn't really notice a difference. By the end of the day, my scalp was still moderately oily, like usual.

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
Before this, I was using the tea tree shampoo from Nature's Gate and that was great too! Then I tried the cheaper Trader Joe's option which was awful as it didn't clean my hair well: my hair got oily in the afternoon, even though I washed it in the morning! The summer heat might have worsened things, but after I used Phyto's Sebo-regulating shampoo, I only had to wash my hair every other day, which is my routine in the winter! I love this stuff! The price is totally worth it if it ends up normalizing my hair after using up this bottle. Even if it doesn't, it's a great treat for the summer months, and I can switch back to something cheaper when it gets cooler! The only con is that it is quite watery and you can spill quite a bit of the product if you're not careful. A little goes a long way as it does lather up a bit. I just pour out one teaspoon for the crown and then another teaspoon for the back of my head and the ends of my hair.

I have tried tons of salon shampoo for my oily scalp, nothing works better than this one! You can see the difference from the very first time after using it. One application can last for three days, which is impossible for any other products.

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
I have an oily scalp but thin limp hair. This product not only controlled the oil but gave my hair a nice shine. I workout often and this product doesnt dry out my hair if used everyday. If i go more than one day without washing, my hair doesnt look as greasy as it use to.

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
The shampoo was an improvement over organic shampoos, which just aren't thorough enough at cleaning my oily scalp. It has a refreshing citrus, herbal scent. However, my scalp was sometimes oily again by the next day (the shampoo won't allow you to wash every-other-day). Also, the ingredients are not the safest (parabens, added fragrance etc.). If it were organic, it might be worth the price. The performance wasn't impressive enough.

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
I have an extremely oily scalp (scalp becomes very greasy within 2-3 hours after using regular shampoo) and Phytocedrat is the only shampoo that has ever worked in controlling the oil output. One application of Phytocedrat keeps my scalp clear of excess oil for three days. One caveat, however: once applied to the scalp, the shampoo must sit for 2-3 minutes on the scalp before rincing. If I just rince immediately afterward, the result is far less effective. As for the cost, I find that one bottle of Phytocedrat lasts around 4 months (with about a quarter-sized amount per use, so it is a relatively low cost for a product that works so well.

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
I have oily hair. This shampoo was ok, I didn't notice any less oil when I used it. I also had to use a ton of it to get it to lather as it is pretty watery. I have pretty thick hair so maybe that is why, if you have thin hair then this may work for you. I will look for something else to try.

Bought this because my daughter's hair begins looking "greasy" within hours- she is a competitive swimmer with a need to balance her scalp- the chlorine overdries her scalp (therefore it produces extra oil) but her hair is long and highlighted and needs careful attention...so, thank you PHYTO for a seriously FABULOUS product that delivers!

Comments about PHYTO Phytocedrat Sebo-regulating Shampoo, Oily Scalp, 6.7 fl oz:
watery and runny, but who cares, it works well. My hair feels great and clean after i shampoo. My hair usually gets oily at the roots halfway through the day, but not if i use this. Sometimes i just use on the roots (since it's kinda expensive). You can only tell there is something extra, powder like, when your hair stars getting greasy later in the day. But so worth it. Not a miracle, but works well and totally saves me from looking terrible after work.
