When I first used product, I lathered 2 times as with other shampoos. My hair didn't seem to get really clean. I wasn't very happy with it. However, when I noticed that after lathering once my hair got the squeaky clean feel, I decided to try that...and my dried hair turned out great. So now that's how I use it. It is a little runny and not thick like the Phyto Hydrating shampoo. However, it seems to do a great job of keeping my highlights bright and non-yellowing and at the same time keeping my hair manageable...even when my roots start growing out. In the past, I have used another purple shampoo, but much prefer this product overall.

I hoped for more from this product. Having used a blue malva shampoo for a few years and being disappointed when it was discontinued, I thought this was going to be very similar. The fragrance is much the same and I like that it helps with whitening up the yellow tinge in my white hair. But it doesn't lather very well and it's very thin in consistency . . . I usually have more of it run out of my hand than I get into my hair. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

This product did not lather well and my hair felt dryed out and straw like after one use. It has an unpleasant smell that I found offensive.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
I decided to try this since the toning shampoo I normally use always seems to be sold out at my salon. I bleach my hair to be a very, very light blonde and since its practically white, the color is hard to maintain for more than a few weeks before it turns brassy. Not only is this shampoo even more watery than the regular Phyto shampoos, its a horrid burgundy color and it stained the ends of my hair PINK. And it only shampooed and rinsed it out rather than let it sit for five minutes.
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
Purple water in a metal bottle! Yuck! Didn't do anything for my hair on top of horrible packaging and have the stuff spilling through my hand. And this company is supposedly high-end?? What a waste of money
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
If 0 stars was a choice I'd choose it. First of all, the consistency of this overpriced shampoo is equal to water. The bottle isn't made to squirt, just to pour. So as was mentioned in another review, it just runs off your hand. Even worse, both shampoos with this product (two weeks apart) left my naturally silver hair extremely dry and coarse - and my hair tends toward oily! A complete waste of money. I'm going back to Pantene for the same whitening results with no dryness!
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For the price I expected something special. As other reviewers have said, the consistency is thin and the whitening is no better than L'Oreal products for white hair or John Frieda products for light blonde. In addition, it seems to rough up the cuticle and make my hair wirier and less shiny than those less expensive others - plus it has no real fragrance so my hair doesn't smell as clean.
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
Most shampoos have the thickness of honey. This one is barely thicker than water. Try to pour the right amount into your hand, and it runs through your fingers. It does brighten my gray, but about the same as Pantene for gray hair, and Pantene is a fraction of Phyto's price. This is very poor value for a very high price.
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
After reading the first two glowing reviews of this product I decided to order this shampoo. I was extremely disappointed! It left my gray hair dull and lifeless. And dry!
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
Fabulous!!! I am a natural blonde who gets highlights, and this shampoo helps keep my natural color from getting brassy in between highlights. My hair stays shiny and more natural-looking because of this product. I highly recommend it!!! Be sure to only use it 1-2 times a week, or it can strip your hair as it gets rid of the buildup that can dull your hair color. I will use this product forever ... as it has saved my hair.
Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 fl oz:
If you're looking for a terrific shampoo that really brightens silver hair, look no further.
This shampoo doesn't turn your hair "blue", as so many others do. This has become my new favorite shampoo!
