As I get older, I notice that my skin keeps getting dryer! I have had to try several combinations of cleansers and moisturizers to find one that works. Right now, I am happy with Arcona White Tea Purifying Cleanser and this Philosophy replenishing cream - which I use in the morning and evening. It has an unusual texture but goes on smoothly and is not greasy. My skin has become softer with regular use.

Comments about philosophy when hope is not enough replenishing cream while you sleep, 2 oz:
Generally I'm a fan of Philosophy products, and when I needed a moisturizing night cream, I had hoped this one would fit the bill. This didn't turn out to be the case.
The products needs to be warmed first before you apply it. The package recommends rubbing the cream between the pads of your fingers, but I've found rubbing between your palms works best to warm and liquefy the product. Even after doing this, once I'd apply it to my face, a mere seconds later, the product dries up on the skin and easily rubs off in rolls. It isn't my dry skin being rubbed off; it isn't interaction with another product (since before application I washed my face with Purity using Clarisonic). It simply does not absorb. It's non greasy, yes, but it shouldn't dry up on the skin!
And being described as a nighttime "replenishing cream," I expected it to be a better moisturizer, which it wasn't. It also has a rather strong fragrance that, I guess judging from the other reviews, you either love or hate...
All in all, I've found very few positive things about this cream.
Pros
- Moisturizes Well
Cons
- Doesn't Absorb Well
Best Uses
- Bedtime
- Deep Moisturization
- Winter Dryness

Unlike certain higher-priced creams, this one works wonderfully to soothe, hydrate and renew your skin overnight without a heavy, greasy texture or perfumes. Although my skin is sensitive and has reacted to other night creams, with Replenishing cream I wake up to perfectly smooth and refreshed skin.

Comments about philosophy when hope is not enough replenishing cream while you sleep, 2 oz:
Nice product. Not greasy. Could use it at night or under make-up. I thought the smell was a little unpleasant but tolerable. Hope in A Jar has a much better smell and I think that is still my favorite. This product moisturizes better though. WIll last a long time, very thick and you don't need too much.
Comments about philosophy when hope is not enough replenishing cream while you sleep, 2 oz:
This is an excellent night cream! Very rich but if used correctly--it is not heavy. Just the smallest amount, rub hands together to emulsify, and press onto skin. I apply this over my other treatment products and wake up with soft smooth skin--and I have problematic skin! I can't imagine how wonderful it would be for those who don't have the problems that I have.
Comments about philosophy when hope is not enough replenishing cream while you sleep, 2 oz:
I only use philosophy for skin care. This product is a great addition to whatever you are using now. Hope in a jar is the perfect day cream, and When Hope is Not Enough is the perfect night cream. It also offers added moisture that we all need in the colder months. It does not have a bad odor whatsoever. It follows suit with the entire line. Great product, great value, great results.
Comments about philosophy when hope is not enough replenishing cream while you sleep, 2 oz:
I'm a big philosophy fan, and so are my daughters. This is a very good night moisturizer that doesn't feel greasy or sticky, and you wake up with your skin feeling fresh. I'll buy other moisturizers, but this is the one I keep coming back to because it's an excellent product.
