Hope Springs Eternal is an effective toner that soothes and moisturizes. If my skin feels tight, or just "blah", I squirt this all over my face (including my eyelids) and my skin perks up. This keeps my face and neck very soft. Upon spraying there is an invigorating, citrusy fragrance that disappears after a couple of minutes. Hope Springs Eternal is great for day and evening usage, and it sets makeup perfectly. I keep a bottle on my nightstand, and one in my handbag. Love it!

This product is horrible. It smells like a combination of scented feminine pads and sickly sweet cotton candy. A terrible synthetic, chemical smell. I'm surprised because I normally LOVE philosophy products and have been in search of such a "toning mist" but this is not it. Plus, once I got past the smell, the "effects" of it, if any, were fleeting. Not worth the money at all. Don't waste your money. Buy the Caudalie Elixir instead. It is to DIE for! All natural ingredients, effective toning properties, AND a wonderful minty, herbal, refreshing smell that truly picks you up!
