For starters, this is not for those looking for a basic eye cream - it's heavy duty. Yes, it's VERY emmollient. I'm 40+ and tackle wrinkles PLUS extreme dryness around the eyes. I've spent up to $200 (!) on couture brands (Z.Bigotti, La Mer etc) and nothing has worked as well as this eye cream. This is strictly for someone with dry, brittle skin around the eyes - and yes, a little goes a long way. To help with the wrinkles and elasticity, use the Eye Believe *underneath*, it's peptide rich - but not emollient or moisturizing. Together, massive improvement for my eyes and my concealer NEVER settles into my lines & no crepiness - even @ the end of the day. Extremely recommended!

this cream looks and feels like glue when your putting it on your skin, but it does help dry skin ALOT and lasts all day. it's way too shiny, so i put philosophy's eye believe-which has a velvet texture-over it. the eye believe on it's own isn't very moisturizing so using the two together works great. if they were combined in one tube it would get five stars.

I found this product after being in the hospital for a month. My face was
so dry and aged. I got Philosophy starter kit and have been hooked ever
since. I have given it to girl friends and they love it as well.

It does not go on smoothly at all. I can't imagine that it actually works, but then, I will not be using it enough to find out. It has the consistency of Elmer's glue. Actually, I wish it was that creamy. I felt like I was going to rip the skin off my eye trying to smooth it on.

Comments about philosophy hope in a tube, eye and lip firming cream, .5 oz:

I have tried every eye cream I can get my hands on (some of them extremely expensive!!) & nothing has the texture of this one. It is quite thick (reminds me of elmers glue without the tacky feel) but applied correctly (sparingly) it moisturizes all day. If you have really oily skin or are still in your 20's with fresh young skin you will pobably find it too heavy. I disagree that it is greasy, it absorbs well (again...applied sparingly) but does not disappear into the skin like most creams. I find it non-irritating to the eyes & the tube lasts a very long time. I have migrated from most other Philosophy products to Skinceuticals but this eye/lip cream is a keeper & you cannot beat the price.

I have tried many, many eye creams. My eye area gets very dry for no apparent reason. I have used this eye cream for years and I just love it. I use it at night and in the morning, under my makeup. There just isn't anything better than Hope in a Tube!

I really like this product; its thick and has some staying power. It really improves the appearance of skin around my eyes and somehow it seems to reflect the light just a little and gives you a nice glow. This will be a must have in my beauty bag from now on. I love philosophy products and this one holds its own for sure.

I use eye creams as a preventative to wrinkles, but have been impressed with this product. It works nicely under my make-up, and since it is thicker, I actually feel like I'm putting something on! I only buy eye creams that come in a tube so I also like the packaging. I will be purchasing this again.
