Falling in Love was an instant hit with me the moment I first smelled it years ago. I don't do well with musks or vanillas, and there's a certain carrier scent that *everything* in modern perfume seems to use (smells like the 1980's to me, darned if I can pin down what it is exactly), so my options were pretty limited until I found philosophy.

This smells just the tiniest bit candy-ish, think cotton candy mellowed out by caramel and touched with a little unusual floral. To my nose, it isn't cloying, too strong, or headache-inducing, but your mileage may vary. Because of the cost, I'd recommend you swing by an in-person place to try it on your skin for a few minutes and see how you like it. Personal PH balance can turn a great scent into a terrible one as it "settles", so you owe it to yourself to make sure what works in the beginning will still smell great later.

This is a lovely scent. I found it to be very light with the perfume alone. When I layer with the bath gel, moisterizer and perfume it seems to last longer. Even then it's not a strong scent. I don't think anyone would notice unless they are in your personal space. Then they may want to get closer.

Have tried several times as I love Amazing Grace, Pure Grace, Baby Grace, Inner Grace and Philosophy the Fragrance. Falling In Love is such a heavy, cloying almost suffocatingly sweet musky fragrance. I know it's popular, but I just can't stand the smell. Had to wash off about 20 minutes after I put it on. Was making me nauseous. Ladies - this is not a light fragrance in any way shape or form. If you like a heavy strong earthy fragrance then this is for you.

Light and not over powering. Receive compliments. You don't have to worry about wearing a heavy scent to the ofifice and giving friends a headache. Light and refreshing.

My husband bought me this and honestly it had to grow on me. At first, I was going to return it but since it was a gift I gave it another try and grew to love the scent. To me it smelled clean not too sweet or heavy or overpowering. I actually ended up loving it. HOWEVER..it did NOT last on me, I could have doused myself in it and 30 min later it was gone, people didn't realize I even had perfume on--big drawback in my book and the ONLY reason I didn't buy it again. If you layer it, you might get better wear..but I didn't want to fuss with all that. Guess it depends on how much effort you want to put into your fragrance.

This is my absolute hands down favorite!! The fragrance is so good that it makes my mouth water. It lasts pretty much the whole day and my husband totally loves it on me. I recommend this fragrance to EVERYONE!!

this stuff is completely horrible. after i applied it, i immediately felt like throwing up. the cotton candy like smell is so intense, that no matter what i did, it would not come off. my head was spinning for hours. thank god i only got it as a sample.

I love this scent. I am a huge philosophy fan. i usually use pure grace, but I find that it fades on me. After receiving this as a sample, I raced out to order this. This is such a sexy scent. It is sweet at first, but dries down very sexy. Ther are slight undertones of vanilla and blackberry. Unlike pure grace, this scent lasts all day on me. A winner for me.
