Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF30, .15 oz:

I love powder sunscreens. I have oily/combination skin, and sunscreens tend to clog my skin and make me break out. This sunscreen gives me SPF protection without clogging up my skin or causing pimples, which I love. However, the brush design could use improvement. The product is dispensed through the brush, and tends to pour out too much in your first couple uses and then taper as your start running out. In addition, the brush itself is very course and rough on your skin. I've gone through three of these and the bottom broke open almost immediately on the third one, and it all spilled onto the floor. The good news about that is now I know I can open it from the bottom and pour it into another container, and then use my own brush to apply it. I'd recommend using it that way, so you can control how much you dispense at once, apply it more evenly, and spare yourself from rubbing that coarse brush all over your face!

I love this powder. It leaves a nice matte finish while providing sun protection. It keeps the shine away all day!! It is translucent on all skin tones (I am African-American) and is very easy to apply. I like that it is not messy and has a retractable brush.

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF30, .15 oz:

I have not tried it long enough to rate its effectiveness, but I definitely like its convenience and ease of use.

I love the packaging.Unlike other reviewers,I don't have problem getting the powder out or closing it properly.

The powder form made it easier for touch-up throughout the day, over make-up.

The color is neutral, it doesn't change or affect the color of my makeup.

I am not giving it 5 stars due to the price. For something so small in size, I think it's a bit over-priced.

Comments about Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF30, .15 oz:

My husband uses this because he cannot stand to have creams or lotions on his face. I've been frustrated with trying to find a sunscreen he'll agree to use, because, even though in his fantasies it's, "That's not a burn, it's a tan," I'm not color-blind, and I know lobster red when I see it. He burns easily, and he has a lot of moles. Not someone who can afford to dismiss the importance of using sunscreen. This mineral powder definitely keeps him from getting sunburned, and it treats his acne-prone skin very well. He has a hard time applying it, though, because somehow he creates a lot of dust with the brush, resulting in the formation of a cloud of powder around his face. Obviously, it's not good to inhale sunscreen powder, so this isn't the best of all possible sunscreen application worlds. It's easier to apply a powder around the nose, mouth, and eyes by putting the powder on fingers first, but the brush makes it hard to get the powder on fingers. Personally, I use a sponge for powder application, but there's no way my husband would do this. If the sponge was built into the container like the Jane Iredale and Philosophy powders, he might use the sponge, but he'll never go out of his way to keep an extra sponge handy in order to apply sunscreen. Sponge or not, what's important is that with this powder, he gets effective, non-irritating sun protection, so I think it's great.
