Combination, oily and acne prone skin: Use once or twice daily. Normal, dry and sun damaged skin: Use two to three times a week at first, increasing usage if well-tolerated. Apply a small amount of cleansing gel over moistened skin with the fingertips. Work into a rich, foamy lather and massage gently for one minute. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat dry. Follow with PTR treatment product, moisturizer and/or sun protection. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Some mild dryness may occur in very sensitive or dry individuals, which is normal. Mild dryness may be reduced by using the product less frequently or alternating with a milder PTR facial wash. I've tried many, many cleansers. By accident I tried this one, and it has been a great experience. This product decreases acne, cystic acne lesions, and oiliness. Three things I've never found another product to do.
A little goes a long way, and it lasts a very long time.
I'm so impressed with this product, that I'm trying other items by Peter Thomas Roth. At first I was annoyed about the high price, but I feel now its very worth it.
It's a quality product that gives quality results. Not the average product.

I'm 36 with very sensitive, extremely dry skin. I also have fine lines and breakouts. I used the Peter Roth Clinical Facial Wash only every other day because of my sensitivity. It produced an adequate amount of suds, and the smell was light and very appealing. It rinsed off easily, but the product left my skin feeling very tight. I had to apply a moisturizer immediately. I also noticed a temporary stinging sensation and redness with each application. The stinging subsided within a minute or two and the redness disappeared within 30 minutes. While I've used the product only a few times over the last 10 days, I do notice that it exfoliates my skin very well. I still have dry flaking skin on my forehead (which I always get in the winter), but it's decreased significantly. The price seems like a lot of money for one product. But you use such a small amount, it should last for months.

I use this face wash at least once a day, occasionally with my Clarisonic cleansing brush. I have sensitive skin with an oily t-zone and breakouts from time to time -- with the sensitivity, it's hard to find an exfoliating product that doesn't wreak havoc on my face. The chemical exfoliants in the PTR 3% Glycolic Acid Facial Wash get the job done gently and effectively. I've noticed less flakiness or dry patches, fewer blackheads, and fading on my hyperpigmentation. The cleanser sometimes leaves my skin feeling a little tight, but when used in conjunction with good moisturizers, I don't have any issues. Can't recommend this enough!

Two days after I started using this product (along with PTR Botanical Beads), my pores shrunk, the texture of my skin improved, and my skin looked a little less splotchy. This is great!

This really is a great product. I am a 32 yr male with no sun damage but tend to have combination skin that is more oily. You get a high-end dept store product for half the price that works twice as hard. I have been using this product alongside the companion moisturiser and within a week have already noticed a huge difference. My skin was dry, and pallid looking with not much lustre. Now my skin looks knockout! I would not use this prodcut without a moisturiser it tends to leave my skin with a slightly tight feeling but just slap on some moisturiser and your good to go.

This is one of the first skin care products that I've used that makes my face feel really clean before I use toner. It leaves my face feeling fresh. I would be cautious about using this if you have dry skin -- my typically oily skin has been drier than usual after using it.

Although this product had a bit of a medicine smell, it wasn't overwhelming. I could feel the product tightening my skin after the first use. Within a few days, my skin became too dry, and I switched to using the product every other day. Although it's priced high, a small amount goes a long way. I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants to reduce the signs of aging.
