Splash the face and eyes generously with tepid to slightly warm water. Apply a small amount of cleanser to your face and eye area with vigorous yet gentle circular motions. Rinse well. I have sensitive, combination skin and use this as my PM cleanser. To maximize makeup removal, I use in conjunction with a washcloth. It does leave some eye makeup behind, so I follow with a small amount of Avalon Organics CoQ10 facial cleansing gel just on my eye area. Paula's skin-balancing cleanser leaves my skin clean and refreshed without begin stripped. The only drawback is that the consistency can become grainy over time if exposed to the heat/humidity of your shower. (It still works well, just feels less smooth). Consequently, I prefer Paula's Resist facial cleanser for AM cleansing in the shower, and keep this in my bathroom cabinet for PM use. I use her entire skin care line and love it.
