Comments about Paula Dorf Brush Out, Brush Cleaning Spray, 4 fl oz:

If you're looking for a product for deep cleaning of brushes, then this isn't it. This product is more of a daily use product to keep your brushes conditioned and fresh in between washes-sort of like dry shampoo for your hair. You wouldn't rely exclusively on dry shampoo to keep your hair clean, but in between shampooing it's great, right? This product is along the same lines. I spray a paper towel (not a tissue, too thin) lightly and quickly swish my brushes through on a daily basis after I'm done applying my makeup. It keeps them a lot cleaner and in better condition than if I just washed my brushes once a week. There's no alcohol so it won't dry out your brushes either. I love this stuff, and after ten years of usage my brushes are like new.

Comments about Paula Dorf Brush Out, Brush Cleaning Spray, 4 fl oz:

I decided to give this cleaner a try, because the one I was looking for was not available on this site. The description was very similar and I thought the results will be the same. I was so wrong! First of all, when I sprayed the cleaner on the tissue, as directed, I thought maybe I wasn't using the right kind of tissues (maybe they were too soft). After changing tissue boxes I realized it was the product that would tear the tissue when I tried to clean my brushes. The results are not great either. It cleans, but not very well and you have to repeat the process several times to get a good result. If you, like me, tried (and liked) other instant brush cleaners, you will hate this one. If you are a first timer, you'll probably be satisfied with it and won't realize the difference until you try something else. My regular brush cleaner leaves my brushes completely clean and smelling fresh after spraying it on the brush and wiping the brush on a tissue. All this in less than 10 seconds. In conclusion, there are better products out there, but everybody is also different and you might end up liking this one (but it's less likely if you already used another brush cleaner you liked).

This is the best cosmetic brush cleaner that I have found. I have been using it on my brushes for a year with excellent resutls. Leaves them soft, clean, and not damaged. No water necessary. I just wish it was not so expensive.
