This product is the perfect solution to those annoying roots and grays that show up 2 to 3 weeks after you've dyed your hair. My hair is neutral brown with auburn highlights and the gray regrowth sticks out like a sore thumb around the temples and in my part line. I hate myself! I bought the neutral brown shade and it's a perfect match to my base and holds me over until my next hair color apointment. I can even push it out another week! One tip - a little goes a long way. Be sure to follow the instructions and dab the brush with a tissue before applying. You only need a thin coat of product. Coverage is great!

This was like trying to paint a bale of hay with a tiny paintbrush. It was thick and globby(whatever that is). I got it everywhere. On my scalp and all over my forehead. I had to take a cotton ball to try and get the excess off. It did work for a while,although it did not cover some greys.Maybe a professional could do a better job and not get it all over the scalp. Although that would take forever. Not worth the trouble.

The secret to a perfect application is to rub the product between your thumb and index finger and then apply it to your roots by rolling your hair between your fingers. About three cranks puts out the right amount onto the brush for each section of hair. Applying directly with the brush to your hair would give you a globby mess, so try this tip I got from a professional. I got the perfect color my first try, and I love how it covers my grey roots between trips to the salon. I've been using this product a long time and couldn't love it more!

I chose neutral brown, was too light. It wasn`t messy if you blend it with a little brush. it covers most gray if not all. I`ll choose one shade darker and I`ll writw another review.

Instructions say to keep turning until product gets in brush. Well, when I did that the product never came out onto the brush, the cap came off and color went everywhere!!! Tried to replace cap but just would not go back on.[...] I will NEVER order anything from this company again!!

Love the pen, makes it easy to use.
BUT it makes your hair matte, and rubs off on everything even the next day!!
Get colormark instead, harder to apply but you can't tell it's there!

I thought this would be great for covering my greys in between colorings, but I must have received a lemon, and I totally wasted my money. I bought it because of the great reviews and, if mine had any color come out of it, I might have reviewed it great as well. Unfortunately, though, it didn't. I tried everything I could to get the color out, but nothing worked so this part is the only part I can review about it.
