I'm in my mid-thirties and have fair, sensitive, combination skin that occasionally breaks out. I've tried cleansers for combination skin that leave my skin tight and dry and cleansers for sensitive skin that leave me a bit oily on the Tzone. This does the trick. Rub a little all over your DRY face. Add a tiny bit of water and it turns milky. Rinse it off. A little goes a long way. I've been using it for 2 months and barely used a quarter of the bottle. Do yourself a favor and go to an Origins counter to buy a pump ($4) it makes the product so much easier to dispense. Overall great cleanser I will continue to use.

This is a decent product for removing makeup, even on water-resistant mascara. However, I can still feel the grease after I emulsify. Yes, I did properly emulsify. Comparing to other cleansing oil, I think it is OK but not the best. I will switch back to DHC cleansing oil after using up this one. If you are thinking between Origins and Shu Uemura, I think they work about the same but this one is much cheaper.

I have sensitive skin with dry patches around the chin, hairline and lower cheeks. The rest of my skin is oily. This product cleans extremely well leaving my skin moisturized without feeling greasy.

Not impressed. This is highly fragranced -- too much so for my liking. It does not do a good job at removing waterproof mascara. I'm going to try to bring this back to an Origins store for an exchange. I just can't use it with such a strong scent.

Comments about Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil, 6.7 fl oz:

I have been using the Shu Uemura cleasning oil and absolutely love it, But it is really expensive, and I quickly go through a bottle. So I wanted to try Origins Cleansing Oil. I spoke to an Origins Rep to see if the Cleansing Oil removes Waterproof mascara (which I wear daily). Rep said that it does. So off I went and ordered,

The Cleansing Oil does appply nicely, works up a low milky lather when water is added. It feels nice on my skin, and leaves it soft and clean. BUT,

        (1) it does not entirely remove waterproof mascara. I have to to my Shu cleanser to do that.
        2) The smell is unpleasant
        3) The bottle should have a pump mechanism. The pour mechanism for application is hard to use, and you end up either making a mess and pouring more than you need.

Still, I will use it, but I am not sure if I will buy again.

Comments about Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil, 6.7 fl oz:

Very effective at removing oil, makeup and even waterproof mascara. I use this cleansing oil as the first step in my cleansing routine by massaging into my skin for a couple of minutes; I always follow with a face wash or foaming cleanser - I have oily skin and I like to be squeaky clean. I normally use DHC cleansing oil which I also love, but Origins has a cleaner more fragrant scent and is about 30% cheaper than DHC. The only downside is that I wish the bottle came with a pump. Highly recommend.

Comments about Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil, 6.7 fl oz:

I expected this product to work at least as well as the similar product made by DHC. DHC's oil takes off all types of make-up, sloughs off dead skin and preps the skin for cleaning and moisturization. This product did none of that. AND it smelled horrible, left my skin dry and irritated as well. I will not use this product again, nor will I use any Origins products. Natural doesn't always mean good. After all, poison oak is natural, but would you use it on your skin?

I use this product as a pre-cleanser before I wash my face. I previously used Dermalogica Precleanse, but this is a great more natural (and less expensive!) option. I use it with my fingers and it removes all my makeup--even waterproof mascara. Love it!
