I have very fine, wavy hair. I'm in my mid-thirties so I can say I have literally tried about a hundred thickening products. You name it: mousses, spray gels, gel, cremes, on and on... Don't get me wrong, I am not a "product person." I don't like to blowdry my hair, I'm more of a wash and go person, but I need *something* to give my hair some body, without weighing it down, making it look greasy, or making it sticky.
I got this Nick Chavez plumping leave-in spray in a gift set, in yet another desperate attempt to find something that would give me what I was looking for. The thickening mist is the only product I use every day on my hair now. I just spray it allover (maybe six pumps) as soon as I towel-dry and comb my hair. In addition to this, I use a different brand root lifter at the "mid-dry" point, then a light brushable dry finish hairspray to finish.
The Nick Chavez thickening mist barely smells, is not sticky, and doesn't give crazy volume or crispiness like other sprays. It is barely there. So why do I use it? Because when I don't, my hair looks terrible. Limp and frizzy, not a good look! Seriously, I'm about to buy another bottle of this stuff right now.
Try it for a while, then see what your hair is like without it. You might have the same experience.
Oh, also there is no animal testing, and it's Made in the USA. Win win win!

I felt it was a waste of money. The only reason I didn't return it was because I didn't want to deal with the whole "return processes". It did not do a thing for my hair. No lift, no extra texture, nothing. Was very disappointing in the product, especially after I watched the You Tube video on it. I was expecting a product that worked :-( I would have given it no stars if that would have been an option.

This detangles and makes hair feel thicker. It provides no frizz control but I'm not sure it's supposed to. I like it best when combined with angel drops with Argan oil. I probably won't buy again as I prefer the plump n thick leave in cream.

This is the first product I have tried that actually gives my hair some "height" . I have straight, fine hair in a short style, and have never been able to get some lift on the top. The shampoo and conditioner work great also.
