To my sisters of color--wear this under NARS "Fire Down Below" or related maroon/red lipcolors. It's beautiful alone as a matte shade--refresh with a couple dots of a clear gloss (NARS "Triple X"). This also will work well under NARS "Daredevil" lip stain gloss. This is a beautiful fall/winter color. Wear this with the deep red or black dress to that special dinner event or theatre outing. Be careful with daytime or office wear--a light application is most appropriate for daytime/office. Sisters of cocoa and chocolate complexions will really appreciate this color.

I have the Nars Cruella pencil which is a bright red with orange undertones, not blue, so it's a good color for fair skin and the Tortola also ([...]a great pinky-brown[...]). I absolutely LOVE this product! Since it's a pencil, it goes on very cleanly and stays on forever (had drinks and appetizers with friends and they commented on how it had stayed on). It is a bit on the dry side, but I don't find it dries out my lips and I like matte lipstick so I find it to be perfect. The pencil does last a good while, although I can't say exactly how long because I don't use it every day.
