If you look at my eyes, closely, no part of them is Black -- except, maybe, my pupils. The ring around my iris is THIS COLOR! Therefore, this is much more wearable for me than black. I have fair skin, with pink/blue undertones and green eyes -- Black eye shadow, even black eye liner, tends to look harsh and/or cheap on me. But this is much more blendable and believable. It's not black. It's not Navy. But something very neutral, in-between. I've even worn it to work in the daytime -- using a neutral, shimmery base-shadow I used Thunderball to create a subtle, day-time smokey eye -- LOTS of COMPLIMENTS! Sophisticated, without looking messy. Nice. And NARS product is wonderful -- as usual. A little goes a long way and the quality is second to none.
