Gipsy: Warm berry A wide range of captivating shades designed to provide the look and style the color dictates. Lipstick available in three formulas: Satin - moist, longwearing lipstick containing micro-bubble spheres to continually release lip conditioners which yield creamy, silky color that wears for hours. Semi-Matte - A highly pigmented matte, non-drying formula that provides a longwearing, full-bodied, velvety finish. Sheer - long lasting color pigments have been suspended in this translucent formula to provide a sheer, natural tint.

Once the lips have been defined with appropriate lip liner, use the Lip Brush to apply lipstick to the lip. Using the Lip Brush will provide control and aid in blending. Applying the lipstick directly from the tube will allow a richer application of color. For more of a matte finish and to remove excess product, place tissue over the lips and gently smooth finger over the lips. For Extra Long Lasting Color: Define and fill in entire lip with lip liner. Apply lip color directly from tube. Using only a single ply of tissue place tissue over the lips. Using a powder puff or sponge, pat loose powder over the lips to set. Reapply lipstick. Full Looking Lips: Add Lip Gloss or Lip Lacquer just in the center of the bottom lip and at the bow of the top lip. |

This is a beautiful sheer red. Pretty much a true red. Don't be afraid by the color in the tube--it looks REALLY dark, but goes on sheer; almost looks like my natural lip color, just slightly darker. I bought it based on the reviews (I couldn't decide on which color to get--so many to choose from !!) and I'm not disappointed. I can't wait to try 1 or 2 more in different shades. Moist, but not too shiny (which could ruin the sheer effect) Only disappointment which I didn't notice at first--it looks a bit frosted, or shimmery, just a hint, but I prefer "flat" or matte colors.

This shade is a deep enough red to be glamorous, but it's not flashy. Most reds are either too burgundy or too orange for me, but this one is just right for my coloring. My skin is light with neutral to yellow undertones, and my hair is dark auburn. As another reviewer said, the color is buildable. I use one coat at work and 2 coats in the evening.

The Nars sheers are moist and easy to wear, and Gipsy is the most beautiful, subtle red. Not especially long-lasting, but that's usual for such a moisturizing lipstick. Will buy again and again.

This is the perfect red for my yellow skin tone. There is enough brown to make this wearable and agreeable with my color. This is a very nice red for everyday use and and into the evening. I just need to really carefully put it into layers and it looks really put together for the evening. If you are shy of red, this might really work for you. Just love it.

This sheer lipstick feels great on the lips (satiny), allows buildable coverage from really sheer to a rich, deep hue and it lasts for hours through daily activities such as eating, meetings, conversations, and running around all day in the rain in a busy metropolis. Other reviewers have said the shade works great with olive skin tones but I have very pale, fair skin that burns easily and has a pink undertone: It works fabulously with my complexion. Never looks garish, nor kitschy; this shade is truly sophisticated. It's a blue-red with a burgundy cast to it. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes how red lipstick looks on other people, but can never find the right shade for them.
