Comments about NARS Nail Polish, Tokaido Express, .5 oz:

The difficulty about trying to view/buy nail polishes online is the screen which is just not reliable in portraying the true color of a polish. That said, one's skin tone is also going to affect how a finished manicure is going to look with this or any nail polish. I am a BIG fan of NARS' Purple Rain color which is a brighter purple. Tokaido Express is a dark sparkly--enough sparkle to make it special for a party but not too much so you can also wear it everyday---plum with gold/brown undertones. Looking at my hand I see this description is what I see but when I took pictures of my hand to try to send it to friends interested in the color the picture makes it look like I am wearing black or dark brown nail polish, thus back to my comment about screens not doing nail polish colors justice. Overall my best advise/suggestion is that if you are seeking a true purple then seek out NARS' Purple Rain but if you want a sophisticated plum then this color is for you.

NARS makes top quality polishes which go on beautifully (I don't ever do my nails myself but all the nail techs at the spa where I go love using the brand) and stand up very well to daily wear and tear. NARS' colors are unique and distinct from one another thus if you are seeking something new this is the brand to check out.

Comments about NARS Nail Polish, Tokaido Express, .5 oz:

This is a lovely color and I am a big fan of Nars polishes, but I agree with other reviewers that it goes on much darker than anticipated. I own Chanel Vamp as well, which is a dark burgundy, and on my toes this product looks just like that one. (I had been hoping for a more purple metallic....the shade that it looks like in the bottle would have been perfect!)

Comments about NARS Nail Polish, Tokaido Express, .5 oz:

This is nice polish, but the color is almost an exact match to Butter London "Brantwen's Feather" and it's more brown than anything. My friends all thought it was black or really dark brown. It works best with no base coat, as when a base coat is used, the second coat of color (very needed second coat) goes on really glumpy. Butter London is just as good and a little less expensive.

Comments about NARS Nail Polish, Tokaido Express, .5 oz:

This is an AWESOME color for Fall! I have other colors that are similar, but this one is IT!! I do some manual labor so it's hard to keep nice polish on me, so it does chip. But then, there isn't anything out there that doesn't chip after several days on me!
I marked that it's hard to remove, but that it only because it is a quality darker color.

Comments about NARS Nail Polish, Tokaido Express, .5 oz:

I loved the color in the photo, but the real color is much darker. It's hard to tell it's purple in most light. It's a nice color, just not what is depicted in the photo. If you're looking for a VERY dark purple, this is a good polish. It's lasted more than a week so far (on toes).
