I tried this color on in the store before I purchased it and it was an immediate "yes"! I thought it might be more orange based on swatches I'd seen online, but it's a warm brandy color with orange/coral tones and a very subtle orange sparkle that's sophisticated (not childlike or grandmotherly) and adds dimension to the lips. I live in Florida, so I wasn't sure I wanted burgundy or blood red for fall. Just a note, the sparkle sticks to the lips as the color fades (making it more noticeable) and it's by no means a long-lasting formula. However, it's super moisturizing and like all NARS lipsticks has a wonderful creamy texture, no taste and a subtle smell that dissipates. It doesn't really look anything like it does in the NARS video clip, but that's because the makeup artist has mixed the shades with pencils.

I love this shade. It is a brownish red with some hint of gold...a shade that will go well with fashion's fall colors but not dominate your face. I am becoming hooked on NARS lipstick. They are creamy and moisturizing, and have fairly good staying power. I also have Dolce Vita and Honolulu Honey. Love them all!
