From the beginning, Lancome's Definicils has been my golden standard, but even as a teenager 20 years ago that was a huge splurge. I have tried many drugstore and department store mascaras, and I sadly say that this NARS mascara ranks at the bottom with the only tube of Maybelline mascara I've ever tried. What a huge disappointment from NARS! This is the ONLY mascara I've ever used that actually smudges onto my EYELIDS as the day wears on, and not only that, but removing requires at least 2 eye make-up remover pads. I plan to use it until it's finished, but that does require constant reapplication of a neutral eyeshadow to remove/disguise the eyelid transfer.

i love the stuff. I have blonde lashes, so this makes a huge difference for me. The formula is the best I've tried since Clinique's and I think I like this brush better. After I put it on, I blink a bit and clean off anything that may have smudged under my eyes, "touch" my lashes lightly to get off any excess and I have no problems. I am really picky about mascara because I don't have many visible lashes, but this mascara really brings them out. I love it. Much better than the old Nars mascara.

I had high hopes for this mascara, but was really disappointed. The brush is incredibly small, and the mascara comes out of the tube in big clumps on the brush. It feels almost dry when you're trying to apply it, and I found that the brush sometimes gets caught in my lashes. It flakes after about 3 hours, and you can't touch your eyes at all or it'll smudge all over the place.
I did not notice any lengthening or added volume - just a clumpy mess. I will say that the color is good - one coat darkened my lashes quite well. Not worth the money at all.

This brush sucks! I could have used a spoon and made my eyelashes thicker and "larger than life" better than this did!! I LOVE Nars eyeshadow but this sucked and I was not impressed at all! Not worth [$] at all!

I expect great things from NARS, this mascara isn't exceptional, but it's not bad either. I'll continue searching for the perfect lash enhancer. This one is not "larger than life."
